[quote= I doubt DD would make a horcrux, reason being that he would have to kill someone to do it. Also the fact that he refused to take anymore of the elixir from the SS, saying that death is not something to be feared etc.etc.
He did not kill a person, but used his phoenix that dies and comes back from the ashes.

| I think the whole point of the Horcrux is that you actually kill something, as is explained in HBP. Having Fawkes die isnt the same...its was ezxplained that killing people tears your soul apart and that through some incantation, stores some part of your soul into an object. So it wouldent be the same as in Fawkes dieing. |

Anything can be made a horcrux. Fawkes would actually be killed. But he can come back. _________________ Dan Buske |

Dumbledore? |
Hmm...it could be Dumbledore.
It could also be Ginny Weasely. I mean the whole Weasely family is in Gryffindor. Though I think it's from Molly's side of the family. I mean Molly did have some very strong and brave relatives. That would make Ron, Percy, Bill, and the Twins also descendents of Gryffindor. And if Harry marries Ginny, then their kids would be descendents of Gryffindor as well.
OR
It could be Neville. I always wonder what his parents got tortured for. Maybe they knew where Godric Gryffindor's grave was or a relic/heirloom of some sort...probably at Godric's Hollow. Which is where Harry will be heading in Book 7. |

I forgot to mention my Horcrux theories.
I dont think Nagini is a horcrux.
I think Voldy got info of where Gryffindor's grave was and there he got an item of Gryffindor and made it into a horcux.
Also someone mention in another forum that the wand in Ollivander's shop that was on display probably belong to Rowenda(?) Ravenclaw. That could be the ravenclaw horcrux. |

| It's not so impossible that DD could have created a horcrux. In all of his days of fighting evil, you don't think it plausible that he'd killed someone in the process? It only said that the ACT of killing, not hunting somone down in cold blood and murdering them, rips your soul in two. And who would have greater pain in their soul at killing someone than DD? That would certainly rip his soul in two. I think it's possible for him to have created a horcrux, though not likely that he would since it's more of a selfish act to do so than to die gracefully. But, don't discount the theory just yet. |

| Neither Kreacher nor Mundungus might have the locket, it could still be back at Grimmaulds Place. Also the Cup certainly is at Godrics Hollow. It has to be the Cup because that is the only thing Harry will recognize at first. Voldemort took it with him there so that when he killed Harry he could turn it into a Horcrux. And since Voldemort failed, the Cup isn't really a Horcrux after all. Harry might find it somewhere in the rubble. The question is, if it is there, then why didn't Voldemort go back and get it. Also what better place to hide another Horcrux than in the Chamber of Secrets. Voldemort knows Dunbledore can't speak Parseltongue therefor can't get inside. And if he did the Basilisk would have killed him anyway. |

Very true, Grimmauld Place could hide a multitude of sins, including a Horcrux. _________________ Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. |
