Here is a question that i would love to know the answer to. How is it that hagrid was able to retreive harry after lilly and james where murdered?
If the potters where being protected by the unplottable thing so voldermort could not find them how did he find harry? The only explanation is that peter pettigew their secret keeper told him but that does not make sense! Why would he do that he betrayed them to voldemort why would he then go and tell hagrid where harry was and save him?

My only plausable theory is that the spell was lifted once lilly and james where killed ! Any theories Question

That or possibly, DD knew where they were and told Hagrid to go get Harry.

I believe that DD was the one who had administered the magic and I think that he sensed the magic disipate when Peter had Told voldy where to go...or DD could have put wards around the house to know when something happened.

Its also possible that somone was stationed nearby to the Potters and tipped DD of about what had happened. DD, Hadrid and Sirious showed up, then I think the rest is explained in the first/second book...

This Hagrid character must be secretly in cahoots with Voldermort.

It makes perfect sense as to why he was able to get Harry without sustaining any injuries.

Didn't some one of the books say that once the secret keeper keeps the secret no one kind find them. IN POA is said Voldermort could be looking in the same Village where they are for years and never find them. So I guess it's not a matter of not knowing where they are but a matter of having the secret keeper tell the secret. I think most people knew where they were but couldn't find them as long as the secret was intact. When Peter told the secret everone was able to find them.

Then Hagrid heard about the attack and pulled Harry out of the reckage. There he met Sirius who tried to convince him to give Harry to him but Hagrid was following DD orders.

So i guess the key is to read over Azkaban. I just read it over last week, i think that's how i remember about the secret keeper.

He was just following Dumbledore's orders.

I really don't think that it is a big deal, for Hagrid to refuse Harry to Sirius and I am sure that if Harry were to ever find out, he will understand why it had to be done like that.

You can know where someone is even if they're hidden by the Fidelius Charm, if the secret keeper tells you, you just can't tell anyone else. My guess would be that either Lily and James told Hagrid before they went into hiding, Sirius told him while he was secret keeper, or Dumbledore told him after Voldemort attacked.

I agree with "Your Worst Nightmare" Dumbledore knows everything, and probably told Hagrid where they were and sent him to go get Harry.
