Out of these people, I would say Aberforth. He lived his entire life in the shadow of his famous brother, all the while harboring his fmaily secrets. Those secrets could have destroyed Dumbledore in the public eye if Aberforth had told them. He is a very commendable person to hold a grudge against a person, yet not try to bring that person down, even if the person ir his own brother.

The Malfoys are evil, but Draco stopped Harry being given to Voldemort in the deathly hallows remember.
And he was nearly considering becoming good at the end of the Half Blood Prince.
But I'm gonna say Albus Dumbledore.
Whatever bad stuff he did, it was totally overruled by his good.

i agree with GinnyX. Umbridge and 'best' dont go together.
i normally wud hav voted for albus dumbledore... but after reading the 7th book it wud be unfair not to vote for snape. someone said earlier tht the best person wud hav to be aberforth cos...

well ok.. but snape had to live a double life. he was the under dog. people hated him even though he was good. and he cudnt do anything bout it... cudnt clear his name. and he also had to work for the very man who killed the woman he loved.

Snape bred on his hate, though. He made his bad name for himself. He was the creator of his own fate. Aberforth, on the other hand, had a fate that was created by the mistakes of others. He always did his best to do the right thing for his family. Then he got left in the shadoow of his brother, who let his own wants cause more suffering for his family.

I chose Dumbledore. But for me, he and McGonnagal are tied for first. McGonnagal seems like one of those strict grandmothers you get stuck being babysat by when your mom's still at work. lol
