Do you think Teddy was given the last name Tonks to be protected ?
Do you think if he carried Lupin's name around he might have been shunned from going to school or even getting a job just because his father was a werewolf ? _________________ Join Reality Of It All!!!
Dora Tonks and Remus Lupin had a son, they named him after Nymphadora's muggle-born father, Ted, who was murdered by Snatchers after not registering as a muggle-born and being forced to go on the run in DH.
Tonks' and Lupin's son, I thought, was named Teddy Lupin. _________________
Iīm pretty sure Teddy is named Lupin. Itīs true Remus was very worried about his future and itīs possible he thought about change the boyīs surname, but I think Tonks wouldnīt have accepted. And now
Spoiler:
he has died like a hero, so Teddy has to be pride of his dad...
Teddy is not a werewolf, so he has no problem to go to Hogwarts, I think. _________________

Yeah, JKR confirmed he is not a werewolf, just a metamophmagus(sp?) _________________ Breathing is optional. Look, Bella, look.
I suppose theyīre confused because JK didnīt write "Teddy is NOT a werewolf" and they donīt know she has conformed he isnīt... But anyway, if Teddy would have been, it would have been told in the book, I think. _________________

he thought his name was teddy tonks, not teddy lupin.
he was just wondering if they changed his name, so he wouldn't be looked down upon because of his father. _________________

I think its cool that Teddy comes over to Harry's house a lot. Somewhere it said that he was becoming as reckless a godfather to Teddy as Sirius was to him. Maybe Harry is trying to make up for Sirius even though he is on the other end of the relationship now. _________________ Watch out! Insane Death Eater in training here!
I think I read somewhere they gave him that name Ted Tonks Lupin. _________________ You are the weak one!!!You will never know love or friendship and I feel sorry for you!!!
this confused me cuz the lycanthrope disease isnt genetic from what i understand you have to be bitten
lupin would know that so why was it a concern?
The lycanthrope disease? That disease doesn't exist in JKR's world.
You have to be bitten, but then again, it is very rare for werewolves to procreate... Lupin had never known of it happening. Since the werewolf was a part of him, he wasn't sure if he'd be passing it on to his son or not. Plenty of diseases aren't necassarily hereditary, but most parents can't help but to be concerned that their children will get it, especially if no research was done on it. _________________ Breathing is optional. is lycanthropy really... real?
is it a disease or what?
i still cant believe its real...
No, it's not a real disease... althought there is a condition where an overabundance of hair grows on a person's face. That has led to rumours of real werewolves. _________________ Breathing is optional. Look, Bella, look.
Teddy's daddy Lupin was actually concermed about possibility of his son heiring that werewolf staff. He said that to Harry in Book 7 there when he came to ask Harry can he go with them, but Harry yelled on him.
I ment Teddy's real name is Ted Remus Tonks Lupin. _________________ You are the weak one!!!You will never know love or friendship and I feel sorry for you!!!
Well, he sort of had the same fate as Neville, didn't he?
His parents died fighting voldemort and he was probably brought by his grandmother.
Anyway, i'm really glad he spent lots of time with Harry, because as JKR told us on PotterCast, Neville had a hard time. He was brought up by old people who all expected him to leave up to his parents. _________________ I don't go looking for trouble, trouble usually finds me...
