I was just wondering if the books ever said that Godric's Hollow belonged to the Potters. It said they were hiding there so I was wondering if i missed anything.

If it does not say it belongs to Potter's whose house do you think it is.

I mean it would be pretty silly to hide in your own home if you knew a mad man was after you and your baby.

I'll tell you who I hope own the place if it's not the Potters. DD, It would make sense wouldn't it. That might explain why he has Godric's sword as well. Or maybe it's just wishfull thinking.

Hallow means Sacred, so Godric's Hallow must mean a sacred place, probably where Godric's Gryffindor's grave is located.

I may have missed something but...
The village/town is called Godric's Hollow, not Godric's Hollow.
The whole Hollow/Hallow thing is so confusing.

It is confusing, but I wouldn't put it past JKR, to put Godric's sacrid grave, in a part of the village.
