Not everything has a happy ending. I've read a lot of books where the ending was nothing as I had expected but I still thought they were really good because the author was very talented and the fact that I was surprised. But that's just my theory. And I think it's more adults than kids that are reading Harry Potter. Because they can understand it better than a third grader can.

not true. programs at school's have 5th graders reading it

unlike LOTR

The first time I ever read HP was when I was in fourth or fifth grade.

I can see Harry becoming an Auror and one of the best ever; but years down the line, he will become DADA teacher and he will then again, be one of the best teachers ever.

I agree w/u on the Auror, not so much on the teacher.

Why not the teacher? I can certainly see the headmaster/mistress one day calling upon the greatest auror and asking for help.

So, maybe with the real person doing the teaching, things would go smoother!

I am just saying that if the real Moody would have been teaching, things would have been better.

I kinda agree that JKR is too good of a writer to finish everything with everyone living happily ever after, it's not a fairy tale. Even though it is a children's series some parents stopped buying their kids the books because it's too scary so there are not many kids reading it. Although I do not think Harry is going to die, but I think something will happen that will make him suffer more than he ever did before. But then again, hasn't he suffered enough? I really am not sure what to think, I'll just wait for the book and see what happens.
