um its a bird i guess maybe cause it is like the only person from the 1 book who did not die beside the mane characters just how the cookie crumbles _________________

Thanks for that quote!
cards101, Hedwig did die, and yes she was a bird, an owl actually Harry's owl. _________________

Oh I was surprised to read that...I think it was unnessisary, but to think it over, if might have been an early demonstration of how serious death was going to be in this book. :S well, I think Hedwig shoulda stayed, because she was always there for Harry, I don't know, I think moody's death, that amongst others, was enough, I didn't feel Hedwigs death was justified.
yeah, tht wz terrible but not unexpected.
i felt so miserable coz hedwig's been a companion from the first book itself & wz amazin..the condition worsened whn it wz not much mentioned after its death lik that of dobbys
When I read Harry Potter, I have really loud reactions like gasping and things like that and when Hedwig died, I opened my mouth so wide that the rubberbands on my braces snapped. I couldn't believe it because I thought she would survive the whole journey but I guess JKR thought otherwise
Yeah Hedwigs death was tragic. She was like Harry's closest friend when he was stuck in the dursleys house every summer. Before I started the book I knew how many characters died (My friends told me) but I never suspected Hedwig to be one of them or to be the FIRST one!!! Sad... _________________ "My Logic is Never without Reason..."
I cared about it more as a symbol than an event. Hedwig was always comfort, period. I knew it would be rough once she died. _________________ "If you're going through hell, keep going."
I didn’t see it coming that’s for sure but their was no emotional response from me because I knew that would be the least of Harry’s troubles. and i thought before i read the book that he was going to have to let her go when he went looking for the horcruxes
being that harry was travelling at the moment i understand how it happened but she could have been set free or taken by the dursleys and set free later. (or the people who escorted the dursleys) _________________
yeah I honestly didn't believe it as I was reading it, then it hit me like a brick wall, that Harry was gonna have a difficult journey in the book, cuz like many of you said hedwig was his childhood confort while at the dursley, as well as hogwarts.
well wouldn't you guys say that Harry went from childhood to adulthood through out all seven books??? but the seventh one was like growing into a young man kinda experience, and it started by killing his precious hedwig.
yes i cried a little, because lousing ur childhood is kinda sad. _________________
I couldnt beleive when Hedwig died I didnt cry or anything, but I had to come back and read that part again because i felt, well.... sad.
that's what I did too. I was like, "Oh, Hedwig's dead", and I didn't accept it until I went back and read it again. Then I broke down.
RIP Hedwig, we love you!!
PS, you guys really should have put a spoiler warning on the top of this. _________________ Draco Malfoy and *sniff...sob* Fred Weasly ♥
