Author's Note: This takes place during the Battle of Hogwarts, after Harry "dies". He is walking around casting curses under the Invisibility Cloak. Minor Details may be changed.
Chapter 1
As Harry turned around to view the center of the Great Hall. He saw with horror Voldemort dueling McGonnagal, Kingsley, and Slughorn. As well as Bellatrix, to his horror, dueling Hermione, Luna, and Ginny. He moved behind Bellatrix and get a clear shot at her, and then he noticed. Luna was lying bleeding on the ground, Hermoine was blasted through the air. Ginny was on the ground, reaching for her wand an arms-length away. Her attention was temporarily diverted.
"Avada-" began Bellatrix, delight dancing in her eyes, pointing her wand at the unsuspecting Ginny.
Harry quickly calculated the scene, Bellatrix was in the act of casting, no one else was paying much attention. There was only one opton. Without hesitation, Harry took it.
He ran and dove to meet to the curse, his cloak slipping off and billowing to the ground. It seemed the entire Hall had held its breath. The curse struck Harry full in the chest. He collasped to the ground unmoving.
The echo of the crash reverbrated throughout the hall, yet Ginny was the first to recover. Tears welling in her eyes, he stood and shrieked "AVADA KEDAVRA!!".
A jet of white light billowed from the wand, overtaking the shocked Bellatrix. She collasped to the ground. Voldemort's fury exploded like and bomb in the room, blasting his oppenant's across the room. As he stood to finish Ginny, he failed to noticed the dimunuative figure sprinting across the room. Neville once again drew the Sword of Gryfinndor and in a flash of silver, plunged it into Voldemort's back, the tip protruding from his chest.
He let out a piercing, terrifying shriek, the last act of his life. He crumbled to the ground.
The funeral was the following week, the day after the mass funeral for the other 50 fallen fighting Voldemort. All the teacher's were there, as well as most of the shopkeepers of Hogsmeade. All the Weasley's, all of them crying for most of the procession, as well as Hagrid and Grawp, the portraits of all the past Headmaster's, Dumbledore looking sad, yet proud of Harry's brave act. The Dursley's were there, looking wary of all the magical beings, Dudley looking uncharacteristicly sad. Anyone else that had played a part in Harry's life was there. From Draco quietly tearing in the third row, to Lavender Brown looking sad in the sixth.
EPILOUGE, 10 YEARS LATER
Ron and Hermione, newly married, accompanied Luna, Neville, engaged, as well as the usual Ginny and Kreacher, whom visited the grave almost weekly. Ginny and Kreacher sobbing, their faces in their hands.
Ginny died at age 29, on the eve of her 30th birthday. Her life cut short by grief for her fallen love. She was buried next to Harry and Fred in Godric's Hallow. It is rumored that sometimes, if you listen carefully, you could still hear the malicous chuckle of Fred, or a lone wolf howl gently. People of reported seeing a flash of bright pink, the last remaining sign of Tonks. Yet recently after Ginny's burial, people saw Harry and Ginny, both young adults, walkng and laughing, hand-in-hand.
Proof that love conquers anything. Even Death. _________________ heh.
Nice one! You've really got talent! By the way, uploaded a new chapter to between dreams and reality!
PS: Like your epilouge, sad that Ginny dies that young! _________________ "You are a fool Harry Potter. And you will lose...Everything!"
But still very nice, I like it. _________________ The boy who lived marries the wrong girl.
