Yeah, Crookshanks is a kneazle. When she released the Fantastic Beasts book some people picked up on it and she confirmed that yes, Crookshanks is part kneazle.

That is interesting, was it ever mentioned in the books? I don't remember anything about it.

I'm sure Kneazles are mentioned somewhere in the books, but there's no mention of Crookshanks being part Kneazle.
