Yes, he had defeated Voldemort, and his soul was free, no more torture. But Harry had never felt so lonely. He was now 18, living on his own in Sirius's former house, Grimmauld Place.
Sirius.
He had lost so many, Sirius was just another. James, Lily, Cedric, Sirius, Dumbledore, Lupin, and sometmies he was feeling sorry for Snape.
But he had expected this, his life would never be free and full of fun. Oh no, his life was no slice of tasty peach.
Ginny was back at Hogwarts, Hermione and Ron were visiting Hermione's parents place. He would soon start Auror training, which was one positive. The biggest positive he arguably ever had now; was the fact that his scar
never pricked, getting Voldemort out of way meant starting to live a free life.
Harry now had a new obsession, one that possibly took up all his time. He still didn't feel secure, and to help his Auror training, Harry started borrowing the books Hermione took out of Dumbledore's office some time ago. Secrets of the Dark Ars, Curses You Shouldn't Know and his least favourite but more interesting, Horcrux hunting. At least these books kept him interested, he learned millions of new spells, such as Fiendfyre, which he had the unfortunate memory of having to escape once. Had it not been for Dumbledore in his Hogwart's 5th year, Voldemort might of triggered another memory of Fiendfyre. Harry would never dare to try any of these
spells, but just in case he was back..
Don't think about that, he shouted without speaking, in his head.
As Harry entered the kitchen in Sirius's former house, he saw Kreacher.
"Kreacher!" Harry shouted, while trying to keep his voice pleasant.
"Kreacher is happy to see half blood master".
"Can you make me something to eat please, Kreacher? I'm starving."
"Of course, Kreacher lives to please master."
Harry saw something that made him almost fall over his chair. The Daily Prophet were a lot more fair to Harry these days, true. But this storyline he would have to investigate himself, finally these curses would be useful. He needed to stop more people from getting harmed, he didn't want more work, in fact he hadn't used his wand in almost a month.

I love it! I think the storyline is very interesting, as not many fanfics cover this specific period of time.
