Is it me or isn't it strange that Karkoroff was in the Great Hall where the Goblet was and shutting the door weird. I mean throughout the movie no one even bothers to say anything of what he did. But my question is what did he do?

Yeah I got confused by this as well.

Perhaps it was to fool the audience into thinking that he put Harry's name into the Goblet of Fire?

maybe the director was trying to make us think that he was the traitor. that was the aim of the book right? try not to make moody look suspicious. but that was stupid. so we find out in the end that it isnt him, but moody. now we ask ourselves, what the hell was karkaroff doing. it had abolsutely no connection to the plot.

I think it was supposed to raise suspicion...but lack of dental hygiene was enough to do that...

I just don't understand how he had cleaner teeth while he was in Azkaban. If you watch the court scene memory his teeth are yellowish...but if you watch him during the rest of the movie his teeth are all brownish and blackish

Just to give a bit more suspense - but I agree, there wasn't a reason for why he was there. Maybe to give Krum a stronger chance of winning?

That scene makes no sense, it was obviously just to make the viewer think that Karkaroff put Harry's name into the goblet. It worked, but then what was Karkaroff actually doing?
You could say he was putting Victor Krum's name more than once to increase his chances of getting picked, but that's just a desperate cover-up.
Maybe he was performing a Russian dance around the goblet?

Oh, I agree... that scene made no sense, since they never explained what he was doing. We can only speculate that he was up to no good... but for all we know, he went to go stare at the pretty flames. "oooh, pretteh fire!"
