I hope now that his feet are wet in the Harry Potter series (and he probobly knows that he'll be doing the 7th movie) so he should be willing to push his luck alittle. _________________ The boy who lived marries the wrong girl.

i doubt he'll do the last movie. it depends on how well he does on the next one and if warner bros will hire him again. and also whether hes up for doing a third one, no other director has done more than 2 of the movies _________________ Bloody Hell!!

Columbus was the only other one who could have, and they thought that his style was too nice - even though both his films set records for total sales. _________________ The boy who lived marries the wrong girl.

I really don't want Alfonso Cuaron to direct it! I really liked PoA, but one thing that truly bothered me was the werewolf--didn't look much like a werewolf to me! And there was also something about that movie that just seemed to rushed. I really like OotP, though. I wouldn't mind if Yates came back at all. I just hope he includes more in the movie next time. _________________ http://phogwartsacts.proboards78.com

It really comes down to two options regardless of who directs and it's more for the screenwriter to decide:
Write it to follow the last film and to preceed the next so include all the minor details.. the problem being that it would be really long.
OR
Write it like an individual film, connections to the last and next not important simply to get good reviews from non-HP fans and get more people to watch it because of the hype.
I don't see why they can't make it long because a complex plot is far more interesting (IMO) then a fancy two hour film and I'm sure for this film the kids who see it are old enough not to have a problem with sitting through a three hour film, I sat through the last LOTR film when i was like 13/14. _________________
