Well basically my friends and me are in an argument about the seventh book’s timeline. I think that it will have a longer time line than others because there is way too much to be revealed about everything being connected somehow as to why Harry didn’t die the night Voldemort tried to kill him, at what stage Harry is he can’t possibly defeat Voldemort (or even take on a death eater alone! ) He will definitely have to go through a lot of training (which takes time), and because all of this can’t happen in short time span of one year.
So I wanted to know if more people than me thought that (this is the main reason why I joined this site). So please tell me what you think? |

Hmm, I'm not sure! It's a really interesting idea, but I've always had it in my mind that this book would take place in the span of a year, like the other books did, and that the grand duel would take place at the end of the year when Harry would have graduated.
I don't know; I don't think JKR would make it more than a year. If she did, the book would have some pretty big gaps in it, don't you think? Otherwise, the book would be gigantic in size, and if I'm remembering correctly JKR said Book 7 wouldn't be as long as OotP. (Or was that for HBP?) Either way, I think the book will be only a year long... but what do I know! |

| Yes book 7 will be shorter than the OoP the only reason the first 6 books are of any real length is because there is a lot of space describing classes and things happening at school two and three pages dedicated to one match of quidditch. And considering in the end of HBP harry says he won't ne returning this gives JK Alot of room to take her time and have harry really work out the horcrux problem. |

I agree with this to an extent i think of course it will be shorter. Jk said that herself. but i think harry will go back to hogwarts the book just will not focus on it through the entire book. in other words he will go there (maybe even for just a chapter or two) and then leave. |

| I think that the book will take the course of a normal school year, like the rest has done, but the book will end in the characters' future. |

I agree. It'd be silly if the book didn't have an epilogue. _________________
