Draco is a death eater. We've seen references numerous times to his arm, which could only mean he'd been branded w/ the DM. I think that Draco is too afraid of Voldemort to disobey his orders, but Harry will kill hiim in book 7.

I mean, he will try to get out of the so called "Club", he might run or even help the other side. I know he is a DE, but just by definition. He might have the mark, but does he have the heart to fully commit?

I think he wanted to impress his father.

^^^ I agree that he wanted to impress his father, but I think his friends were ahead in that department. Malfoy wanted to be and feel bigger than what he actually was.

Parents make bad decisions sometimes, but that doesn't mean their children make the same ones. Draco could overcome his prejudices and see that his father was wrong.

Doubt it. Draco'll be just as bad as always. He doesn't care about anyone but himself.
Then again, it might be one of those cliché things where the bad guy just needs a hug, seeing as none of his friends are real, well, friends. Like, Crabbe and Goyle are just lackeys, and his parents seem to care more about Voldemort than Draco, however much they spoil Draco.
But we know J.K better than that. Draco will certainly not be a better person even if he does get that hug.

People do change. Draco Malfoy could be a big help to the Order of the Pheonix.

Voldemort could kill him for not killing DD. Maybe he won't even go to Voldemort. I dunno. I hope Draco turns good. Maybe he always secretly supported the light.

The text of the HBP implies that Draco has the mark, but JKR is very sneaky, it's not actually in the text.

For instance, he shows Borgin something, but it's never stated in the text that its the mark.

I think, that yes, he wanted to be a DE, and he is one. However, now that it means murder, will Draco be the same old coward that he always was? No, Draco and bravery don't go together, Draco will change his mind quickly about wanting to be a DE.

His mother has already turned against LV, and Snape has helped her by making the Unbreakable Vow.
We maybe about to see the whole Malfoy family turn against LV; Lucius won't take kindly to LV threatening the death of his son. So the whole family could turn traitor, aided and abetted by Snape, of course.

I think Draco does have the Dark Mark, but he'll be like Snape, he'll betray LV.

An interesting question is how many DE's would betray LV?
Draco
Snape
Narcissa
Lucius - for trying to kill Draco
Wormtail

Things aren't looking too good for LV at the moment.... Very Happy

I read a theory somewhere about him possibly having a werewolf bite. That could be interesting.

Ummh, don't know that the HBP text goes along with a werewolf bite...

Bill was bitten - and now looks wolfish. Bill also has a liking for uncooked meat - he eats it raw, which Fleur doesn't mind.

Draco is still the cool good looking one. OK, Harry noticed that he looked very tired and grey looking, but not what you'd describe as "wolfish".

I am interested in how Myrtle described Draco - ie Sensitive, crying, and bullied. That doesn't sound much like a fully blown DE to me... what would LV do if he heard that?

i think that malfoy may be in love with ginny...don't laugh. malfoy's always complaining about her but appreciates that she's hot u know? and voldy being misled will kidnap ginny because he thinks that ginny is harry's weak spot but he didn't know that they broke up. so voldy makes a mistake and puts ginny in harm's way and maybe even kills her so malfoy loses that whole merciful lord image and because he's hurt that his "love" is either in pain or dead, he goes to the good side to get revenge. that's my theory...it's a little crazy but w/e

I agree that Draco likes Ginny.

1. Chamber of Secrets - he knows that Ginny sent the singing Valentine to Harry. How come? Ginny wouldn't have told him, so he must have been paying very close attention to her.
2. Draco never insults Ginny directly. He insults Ron, Harry, Hermione, but never Ginny. Why not?
3. When they met in Flourish and Blotts and she defends Harry - Draco doesn't insult her. Why not? She was covered in Floo Powder and a sitting target for someone as sarcastic as Draco.
All he does is turn to Harry, and say "Potter, you've got yourself a girlfriend".
4. In HBP, we see Pansy goading Draco, saying that she's pretty and all the boys like Ginny. She's fishing for information, but luckily Blaise answers Pansy - notice that Draco doesn't say anything bad about Ginny. Blaise does. JKR is distracting us again here.

So, no, I'm not going to laugh at you. Draco is simply too gallant or chrivalous to Ginny, for it not to be a valid point.

Classic Draco Malfoy: (as a member of the inquisitorial Squad OOTP)

'Granger, I'll have 5 from you for being rude about our new headmistress. Macmillan five for contradicting me. Five because I don't like you, Potter. WEasley, your shirt's untucked, so I'll have another 5 for that. Oh yeah, I forgot, you're a mudblood, Granger, so ten off for that'

LOL I just love that kid, he is hilarious! Without him, much of the humor of the books would be missing!

Who cares what happens to him...he has served his purpose! To make us roll with laughter!

rock on Draco
