harry named his son albus severus... albus being the man who kept him in an abusive home so later harry can die.

and severus the person who traded out him and his dad in order to have lily to himself.

what happened to sirius who spent years being tortured in azkaban wrongly only to escape to save harry's life

or anyone else who helped harry through the series??

why do you guys think he chose those two names?

True, both Dumbledore and Snape had faults about them, there is nobody that doesn't. But Dumbledore did that for Harry's protection, he said it in Order Of Phoenix book. He also did name one of his other sons James Sirius if I'm correct.

But Dumbledore and Snape did their best to protect Harry, whether it seemed cruel or not, it worked. And you know what? That's life, you have to take the crap that's thrown at you, but it's up to you how you take it. I think Dumbledore and Snape were great men, and so does Harry, which is why he honored them by naming his son after them.

What they did might have seemed cruel but if they had not acted as they had Harry probably would not be alive to even have written an epilogue about.

Well James was too much of a wimp to live to see him, how about that? Everyone's got flaws, and those were some pretty crappy things they did to him. But he couldn't have lived to get all the Horcruxes if he hadn't been at the house in Little Whinging and Snape wouldn't have been able to stop Quirrell if he didn't sell out the Potters.

Well, I kind of hope that James's middle name was Sirius. (Or Arthur so Ginny could have at least some say in the names.) But I would hate one of Harry's children took Snape's name, but not Sirius's.

i like to think that james's middle name is sirius, because james and sirius were like fred and george, you never saw one without the other. so it just makes sense that harry would want to keep them togther.

also i think that lily's middle name should be molly, because like you said, they need a name from ginny's side of the family.
