but he had other gryffindor friends (the Twins loved him) and Ginny still should have been talking too him.
And even if Hermione did feel sorry for him, nobody else did enough to do what she did - she was the only one willing to stick by him.
And in fact from square one (or Halloween first year) she never leaves him - she gets mad at him, won't talk to him, but never leaves him) she comforts him when he's sad/upset and she saves him more times than anybody else....grrr it all fits, arg arg.
He didn't want to hang out with them because they kept asking him how he did it, but he couldn't tell them. He wasnt really friends with Ginny at the time, although I'm sure she would have loved to talk to him.
When does she save him more than anyone else?
She saves him from the Snake (in DH)
Saves him from the poison and the Devils Snare (PS)
Saves him from Quirrell - at the quidditch (PS)
Saves him from werewolf/lupin (PoA - Movie)

all that means is she looks out for him. just because she saves harry doesnt mean shes in love with him and wants be with him.
i think thats just wishful thinking on your part _________________ Bloody Hell!!
lol, ya it is a bit but I still think the signs are there.
And it's clear that she does love him - just not in a romantic way, she loves him as a brother.
*And yes i've seen that even from book one she and Ron are starting to flirt abit. Harry does think she looks gorgous though at the Yule Ball, and Ron just is a jerk to her - Harry talks to her, etc. _________________ The boy who lived marries the wrong girl.

Sha also saves Ron from the Devil's Snare... and let's face it, Harry needs a lot of saving...he's kind of a walking target. _________________ ^made by Fiendfyre

that may be true, but there is absolutely NO sexual tension between her and harry at all!! theres no chemistry, their relationship is so dry, in the romantical sense. _________________ Bloody Hell!!
true, but Ron doesn't do a whole lot to save him (except from the Horcrux in DH)
but still Hermione sticks her neck out alot for Harry. And I still don't get why her kissing him wasn't a messege - I don't know many people who just kiss their friends good bye and not their "hope to be" boyfriends. _________________ The boy who lived marries the wrong girl.

do you honestly think that hermione would've just walked up to ron and given him a kiss goodbye? no, because she liked him and was more nervous around him
the fact that she gives harry a kiss shows exactly how much she does NOT like him like that, because shes so comfortable around him and has no problem giving harry a kiss goodbye
and also the part where ron says "i love you hermione" when hermione helps him w/ his homework (theres a whole thread about this somewhere) and then hermione blushes. but if harry had said that, she definately would NOT have blushed _________________ Bloody Hell!!

It's the same way a girl gets nervous around her crush.
But a girl wouldn't get nervous around her friends.
I have no problem telling my friends I love them, but when I like a guy I certainly wouldn't say that, and if I did blurt it out, even casually... well it would be the same thing as when Ron said it in HBP, Hermione turned pink and Ron fell silent. She quickly dismissed it with a joke, but you could still cut the tensions with a knife. _________________ ^made by Fiendfyre
But Harry never does say "I love you" to hermione - and Ron may/maynot have meant it when he says it in HBP.
But still, Hermione never does tell either boy she loves them. And she seems more open with Harry (like telling him about her hair) _________________ The boy who lived marries the wrong girl.

exactly what i was trying to say, except im a horrible explainer. lol _________________ Bloody Hell!!

Spoiler:
i think its pretty obvious that hermione loved ron, even if she never said it. i mean, she cryed when ron left and didnt talk to harry for days. and there is also the fact that she ends up MARRYING ron (sorry for the caps). so i think its a pretty safe bet that she tells ron she loves him, eventually.

Harry is more mature than Ron to an extent... which is why it meant so much to Hermione in DH when he talked so selflessly about the house-elves. In school Ron always had a witty comeback when she spoke of SPEW, while Harry just ignored her and remained silent. But throughout DH you can see how much Ron has grown up, starting in HBP when he holds her whle she cries at the funeral. In the past (POA) when she cries he always just let's her while patting her awkwardly.
He cheers her up in DH when she bursts into tears over her parents by asking her what Mad-Eye would have said... and he falls asleep holding her hand while letting her sleep on the cushions so her bosy would be risen above theirs. Not like in PoA, again, when they slept in sleeping bags on the floor altogether. _________________ ^made by Fiendfyre

Lets start with Harry and Ginny. In my opinion, they didnt ever seem like they were in a a real relationship. It was a very strange one, thats for sure. They'd randomly makeout and thats about it. Maybe think about the other once in a while. Bf and gf would make sense, but marriage seems unlikely.
Ron and Hermione...well they're alright I guess.
Neville and Ginny, were they ever really close to the other? They always seemed like friends, nothing more.
Cho and Harry would never work. Cho just doesnt fit in with anything.
Actually I could se Harry and Hermione together.
Lastly, Malfoy and Hermione. Is this a joke? Has there even been a time when one didnt despise the other?
