I've been reading the book 5 and 6 for like the fourth time...and something just past through my mind.....don't u guys remember the conversation harry had with Nearly Headless Nick, after Sirius died....
Nick told Harry that sometimes wizard let a imprints of themselves behind, on earth...because they had to stay..i thing because of the fact that they didn't accomplish somethink they had to finish (i'm i right??)....
So don't u think that maybe Dumbledore task was to prepare Harry to fight Voldemort, and find the remaining horcruxes???
So i don't know what u guys think of my theorie!!!!  
I don't know why but i feel like dumbledore is going to come back as a ghost or something.....he was such a powerful wizard! He wouldn't just let himself die without planning something!  |

he will be still with us as a portrait

It's no Gandalf thing...
JKR told in an interview that sirius is dead and he wont be coming back ... but for dumbledore's case, she said he was really dead and they we're no chances that he's alive... but if he's coming back as a ghost it isn't considered as being alive no?? |

actually yes u do...it sais in the 6th book that harry saw dumbedores portrait on the heamasters office snoozing on the wall..

hmm really? well ill take your word for now. i am currently reading the 6th book again, so i will know soon enough. i am about 500 pages in.

I wouldn't want to live for all eternity as a ghost. I don't really understand why people would choose to come back as one.

well i know in the 5th book nearly headless nick explains to harry how they become ghosts and why the choose it. i just cant remember what he said so you might need to look in the book for that one.

When harry goes to DD's office with McGonagall, after DD has fallen from the tower; there's a painting of DD on the wall. It was asleep at that time, but it has to wake up someday, doesn't it?
And about DD not pulling a Gandalf; Gandalf was dead and came to life, maybe DD just isn't dead...

But didn't she also say he was definitely dead?

| I just read on the Leaky Cauldron site that Dumbledore's triumphant gleam in his eye in book 4 , will play a very significant part in book 7. I can't wait to see what that is. Oh I am so stoked! |

Nick says that becoming a ghost is an option for people afraid of death.
Dumbledore is definitely not afraid of death, so chances are, he won't be a ghost.

yeah, but wasn't the imprint some fear to death?
I don't think that DD would be afraid of death... I'd rather think that he would embrace it... or some poetic stuff like taht...

| I don't think DD will come back..JKR herself told that DD was definitely dead.. I think his portrait will be there in the Headmaster's office and he will communicate with Harry thru that..( If Hogwart reopens)... |

Hey, I was just thinking...
Some of the portraits in Dumbledore's office have another portrait somewhere else in the Wizard World. So where would Dumbledore's be?
