You guys think the seventh film should be shorter(2-3hrs) or longer(4-5hrs) or they should make a series(like the 24)?

Personally I think the seventh book is too thick and informative to be included in a film like the Phoenix one now. Or it will just be a huge collection of pictures and artificial effects. In addition, the DH is more like an exciting adventure than an account of school life. You can't delete any one detail in the whole plot without destroying the film. If the film is limited to 3 hrs, many scenes which is essential may get cut off by Warner, like the Life and Lies of Albus D. , Snape's memory, half of the final battle, the arguments breaking out between Harry and his friends which is crucial to hold the entire story tight together and even Godric's Hollow. I'm now a little worried that the seventh will become the best book and the worst film or just a showout for all those stars.

i would like it to be 4 hours plus that way they could include everything and make it the best film yet but they will probably ruin it.

I do agree with Arabella. It needs to be close to 3 hours long, but it probably won't be.

i think that it should be at least 3 hours long, seeing as it is the last movie ever. i dont think people will mind if its a long one. plus, they should not cut anything from the final battle scene, because thats basicly what the whole 6 other books have been building up to. it would just be stupid to not make the last movie as long as it deserves to be.

I would like them to follow as closely to the book as possible. In that case, as long as it takes.

I'd say like 2-3 hours.
Like 3 hours at the most.
Because in that time you can fit all the main stuff and some smaller stuff in but its also not too long, cos little kids and stuff are gonna be watching this film too and they get bored.

The longer side would be better, although I doubt they do that. They haven't so far and lord knows that OOTP could have used some more length to it.

I definitely don't like the idea of it being a series. That would contain to many complciatons. I think it would be good at 3 to 4 hours, if there was a choice for that I'd have picked it. Smile

i think it should be shorter because it was my least favorite book. i call it harry potter and the final cop out.

i think that it will be longer than 3 hours.. dunno how much longer tho.. hopefully a lot.. so our final hours of harry potter can last as long as possible

it shuld be 4-5 hours long cos if it wos only 2-3 hours long half the story will be cut out!!!

I wish it was five hours but I'd be happy with 3½ if they don't cut things I think are important lol.

i would be happy up to four hours but once it goes over i my butt would hurt too much to even care about the movie... i mean the movies are good but not epic like lord of the rings... which even if they were ten hours long id still sit through it all.

I think it would be a crime to cut any of the book out of the movie! In that case i vote that it take as long as is needed to make it a great movie. Even if that be a five hour movie Wink
