HARRY AND HERMIONE - I was sure that in the chapter Godrics Hollow, Hermione and Harry would end up together. Its a little sad to see JKR lead on the readers in that direction. I dont like Ron and Hermione together because Ron is so sarcastic and really pesimistic at times, Hermione is smart and really ...i dont know, I love hermione, and ron is just ..meh..so harry and hermione shoulda ended together, but thats just my opinion.

I agree with you on the Godric Hallow part, I believed after Hermione made the Rozes for Harry that there was something really special between them there.

But I think Rowling was just playing with us Harry/Hermione pushers hopes and dreams.

The hope may have been unintentional, but it was there. She does it throughout the series (and yes I know she drops hints about Ron/Hermione throughout the series as well)

*Ahhhh, not again, you and I had this argument*

And it wasn't so much as hint's but teases

Examples:

Book 4: Rita thing about Hermione being Harry's girlfriend
Book 4: Hermione kisses Harry (yes as a friend - and I'm i'm still ticked it wasn't in the movie)

Book 7: The roses Hermione makes for Harry to put over the grave

Those are the only three I can think of on the spot.

Well, I believe they were MORE than just friends (even if it wasn't more in a sexual/intimate way) they were still beond just best friends.

Hermione knows everything about Harry (like with his Scar,) and she was able to guess at what he wanted to do for his parents, etc.

Yes, and then others will come along, and destroy the fantasy's they have of these couples being together by logic and reason, and putting the supporters in to horrible depressive moods. Shocked

or the supporters realise that the meanies who want them to have no fantasy's are just poopoo heads Very Happy

But still Now I have new evidence that Hermione liked Harry -- she spends LOADS of time with him in GoF, and even takes his side when he and ron start fighting (seeing a pattern?)

but he had other gryffindor friends (the Twins loved him) and Ginny still should have been talking too him.

And even if Hermione did feel sorry for him, nobody else did enough to do what she did - she was the only one willing to stick by him.

And in fact from square one (or Halloween first year) she never leaves him - she gets mad at him, won't talk to him, but never leaves him) she comforts him when he's sad/upset and she saves him more times than anybody else....grrr it all fits, arg arg.
