| Maybe I dosed off while reading but I can't remember how Nevile got the sword to kill the snake? The last I remember reading was the goblin took it while at the bank. Did it make it back to Hogwarts via the sorting hat which was put on his head by Voldemort? |

| Ive been wondering abt that too. did the gryfindor's sword just dissappeared from the hands of the goblin? because the sword belonged to harry? |

| I would surmise that Godric Gryffindor added some sort of magic to the sword that it could come to ANY true Gryffindor, which was stated in the second book. I think even though a goblin made it, magic was added so there will never be a single owner ever again. Even though the sword came to Harry it was never truly his to own. |

It's already been established that Neville got it from the Sorting Hat because any true Gryffindor can pull it from the hat.
