| Dubledore rigged the house cup... he gave Gryffindor the exact amount of points to win. This is unfair to the rest of the school! I was suprised there wasn't a riot. |

they earned points though, he gave them amounts fitting, and they happened to add up to just the right amount, maybe not entirely unintentionaly, but you can't deny they deserved those points. _________________

Uh...lets see how many people almost died SAVING the school and those students in it...
I think giveing them the House Cup was the LEAST he could do.
And it should have never been in doubt, because Malfoy cheated to get points taken away from Gryffindor (by getting Harry Hermione and Neville in trouble.) So all's fair in love in war - and espiecially in Harry Potter _________________ The boy who lived marries the wrong girl.

I thought it was a bit suss cause the hall was decorated with Slytherin banners and then they had their victory stolen right under their noses on their celebration.
Bleh oh well. _________________

I agree that they earned the points, but I also think that Dumbledore knowingly and purposefully gave them enough points so that Gryffindor would win.
And if you think about it, McGonagall does the same thing in book 5...In the part where Snape is trying to take points from Harry but the Gryffindor hourglass is empty...she gives them enough points so that even when she gives points to Ravenclaw for Luna, and takes away the points for Snape...they still win. _________________
