| well, for ron and hermione, there was never a distint moment. They have been dancing around the issue for about 6 books. You can find some cute moments in almost all of them. For Ginny and Harry, they started at the end of book six |

ron and hermione have been all over the place.
harry and ginny were sort of tossed around as well.
ginny's always liked harry, but they only started a relationship in the sixth book.

The Hermione and Ron relationship has been building up for 7 books. I don't think anything became "official" until they kissed in DH. And even then they probably danced around it for a few more weeks until someone spoke up.
As for Harry and Ginny... I think it happened when they first kissed for several sunlit days.

Haha, I could see them doing that.  Probably because of everything that happened. Preparing a funeral for Fred, so on...

Yep, I mean they kissed and it was sweet... they got caught up in a moment. But following the battle they'll be caught up in funerals and repairs. And you know neither of them will want to bring it up first. Oh, Ron will probably hold her hand here and there. But at first it won't be any different from the way it was through Deathly Hallows. Eventually it'll progress.
I figure, it took this long for it to happen, why rush things now. The rate of progression will probably remain the same.

Yeah. I can see them having an official relationship of sorts, but also letting things between them take their time, if you know what I mean.

And this is why I wish there was an eighth book. I mean, I respect and understand why there won't be anymore books inthe series... but I need to know who said "I love you" first and how.

well Hermione also probobly let him stew for a while because he did leave her. So she probobly got back at him by teasing him and saying:
"Oh Krum sent me another letter the other day" or something like that.

I think that Ron was the one who said "I love you" first, it's just so much cuter like that. After and intense snog, hermione walks out of his room and when she's at the door he goes:
"Hermione, I love you" and she turns around and looks at him for a second like she's trying to decide if he really said those 3 words and then she smiles runs and puts her arms around his neck kisses him and says "I love you too, Ron"

I don't think she takes it seriously though, atleast not until the end.

yeahm but not in the romantic sense. The one time I remember is in the 6th book when she helps him with his hmk

I know right?
Maybe the Potterpedia will say who said what first. But I think that it should be Ron. He should take action and be a man! Like Dr. Octopus said in Spiderman 2, "Storing something as complex as love can make you sick." And after shooting himself with his slug jinx and being poisoned on his birthday, he doesn't need to get "sick" again.

lol . . . Reading this made me wonder how Ron would propose. I could just see him giving the proposal as sort of an order, and Hermione giving a sarcastic remark while taking the upperhand in the situation. Some things will never change.
