Hi guys,

did you notice that Ron and Harry didn't give each other presents at Christmas? Harry got the flute from Hagrid, Chocolat Frogs from Hermione, the fifty-pence piece from the Durselys, the jumper and the fudge from Mrs Weasley and the Invisibility Cloak from Dumbledore. But nothing from Ron.

And Ron didn't receive anything from Harry either. Now isn't that strange? They were already best mates so how come they didn't give each other some small gift?
What do you think?

Maybe they did give eachother gifs, and, well, it wasn't important to mention... or JK just forgot to write it down. Very Happy

I mean, in some of the other years, Harry doesn't get anything from the Dursleys...

it must just be a mistake, as i'm sure they would mention any presents that they got from each other.

Oh well harry had nothing to give them as he was poor and probably didn't know how to get them something while in school, there are no shops in the school

true but harry wasnt poor. he had a boat load of gold in Gringotts.

maybe the best freinds felt they didnt need to give each other anything. after all they were onl 11. i remember i never started buying gifts for anyone until i was 16 cause i had my own job. children that age expect iteams. hermione was just more mature and decided to get them some candy.

I have had a best friend, since first grade and we would buy all kinds of things for one another. Though, now that I think about, he did give me horrible gifts!
