I'm reading OotP for about the sixth time. I'm at the part where Harry and comp. are about the enter the Department of Mysteries. And, all of a sudden this thought popped into my head. There's a passage that says, "Harry turned to the plain black door. After months and months of dreaming about it, he was here at last..."
These two lines got me thinking, and maybe it was obvious to a lot of you, but why did Harry dream about the Department of Mysteries for so long? It was never really explained why he kept having these dreams. I never questioned it really, until now. But, if I have to venture a guess, I'd say that Harry was dreaming about it because Voldemort was too - or at least thinking about it when Harry was sleeping. It really doesn't make any sense that Harry would keep dreaming about it for no reason.
Because Voldermort had been attempting to get into it for that long.
He just couldn't. And he wanted the prophacy from almost the second he was around, so he was tryign to get it for a long time.
Harry just doesn't realise that he's viewing through Voldermorts eyes. _________________ The boy who lived marries the wrong girl.

Harry, and Hermione...shoulda been!
Yeah, I'm reading the chapter where Dumbledore explains everything to Harry.
"Professor Snape discoverd...that you had been dreaming about the Department of Mysteries for months. Voldemort, of course, had been obsessed with the possibility of hearing the prophecy ever since he regained his body, and as he dwelled on the door, so did you, though you did not know what it meant."
