its not a spoiler so i dont know why i put it in there, if you are blind and diddnt read any of the rest of this then it is a spoiler but anyways...

does anyone else thing the movies jacked up the relationship a little bit more than intended to from the books? i think the movies went further than the books did just because its a movie.

I'm not sure what you mean by jacked up.

^very good point! the only thing that will really get him riled is if you insult Hermione or his mother. If you insult Harry, you'll just get words. with those two, you get attacked.

I can imagin Harry's "best man speach" at the wedding:

"I remember the day you two met. We were on our way to our school, when Hermione looked right at Ron and said, 'Have you seen a toad? A boy named "Neville" has lost one.' At that very moment, I knew you two were made for each other."

Awwww that would be so sweet. Or he could recollect when Hermione oh so nicely said "you've got dirt on your nose by the way, did you know? Just there." Ahhh the perfect romance. LOL.

For me it became obvious when Ron tried to make Draco "Eat slugs" after calling Hermione a mudblood. That was in the second one, right? You really have to ruffle Ron's feathers to anger him that much. Ron is pretty laid-back, but he sees red easily if you offend some one who he REALLY cares about.

I can see why people might think that but I read the eat slugs bit more like an friend sticking up for a friend

I thought it was because he sort of liked her at that moment, but just didn't know it. Very Happy

Yes, but he never defended Harry so valiantly. He would say things to people, but he didn't get as defensive as he did with Hermione.

Yeah, he was always super protective of her.

Yeah..

In all the movies there were subtle (or not so subtle) Ron/Hermione flirts..
like the grabbing hands in the third movie...so made the transition to them getting together by the end of the 7th book easier

Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to stare at a pic of Emma Waston for about an hour.

i think hermione knew, or accepted it, before ron, and i think that was in SS.
cos made it more obvious, and as time went on it became inevitable.

i always kinda wanted ron and luna to get together though.

Why do you think she accepted it in SS? Just curious.

I kind of got the feeling form SS just because of the way they fought so much. I mean, Cho and Harry got along well at first and look where they ended up?

But it was really obvious in GoF.
SERIOUSLY.

That is 100% photoshopped. CLEARLY it is photoshopped. It has some humor, but it loses humor for being fake.

When Hermione started liking Ron:
I noticed signs since SS. The whole "dirt on the nose" thing doesn't seem logical. Hermione started liking Ron when he saved her from the troll. (Harry helped but it was Ron who knocked the troll out.) She started liking him more and more as the years went on. Her "like" turned to "love" about 4th year. She made it clear in GoF that she wished he would have asked her as soon as he heard about the dance instead of a last resort.

When Ron started liking Hermione:
In his first year Ron was jealous of Hermione's brains. He started liking her in CoS and it became apparent with his reaction to her being petrified. His like turned to love when he was dating Lavender. He knew he didn't love Lavender so he got out of that relationship. (Hermione was so happy when they broke up!!!)

It was obvious they would be together after HBP.

I do agree that Ron really fell in love with Hermione during their sixth year.
