OK, if the Hermione/Ron kiss on page 625 was their first, why didn’t Harry seem surprised? Harry kind of acted like, “OK guys, kinda in the middle of a war here.” I thought his reaction confirmed my suspicion that the situation wasn’t a new one. I think if they hadn’t been a couple all that time I think Harry would have reacted in a more surprised way.

That kiss was first in Hermione and Ron relationship. Ron was dating Lavender Brown if I'm correct and Hermione penpal was Viktor Krum. Because Ron was jelous he started dating Lavender. 6th book is full of kissing and I was afraid Deathly Hallows will be a porn. Laughing

He wasn't that surprised. He knew it was a long time coming. I think he really was a bit consumed with the war.

Ron and Hermione, that moment has been building up for the whole series.

It had been building for the whole series, however I knew right from the get go that Harry and Ginny would end up together, that too was only a matter of time.
However I really like Harry & Ginny's kiss, but there was just something more about Ron and Hermione's, like you said the build up to it... waiting for such a long time for it to happen.

I think that Ron and Hermione's kiss was a long time coming that's why its so sweet!

Ron was being all sweet to her in the last book, and it was only a matter of time until she kissed him...

I also think its kinda sweet that she kissed him

I'm a hopless romantic just so you know

I liked the Harry/Ginny one best because it took everyone, even Harry by suprise. But I love Hermione's reason for kissing Ron.

I think Ron and Hermiones kiss was the best because it was so eagerly antisipated and I personally thought that Ginny and Harry's relationship was a bit wierd from Ron's point of view.

I think what made me like Harry and Ginny's first kiss more was how Harry had to break it off with her for "noble" reasons. I really enjoyed the scene where they just gaze at each other with understanding before Harry breaks it off with her. Ron and Hermione (apart from a few times) were with each other all the time, whereas Harry and Ginny were hardly together making any scene with them in it more memorable.

I was wondering this recently...
Although i love both kisses, H/G's first and R/Hr... were they too similar? I mean, they both involved one running over to the other... in the heat of the moment...
Maybe it would have been nicer if Ron and Hermione's was more private or something. Then again we probably wouldn't have seen it because we see what Harry sees and if Ron and Hermione's first kiss was going to private, it would be.... well.... private.
I dunno, I was just wondering if the two kisses were, perhaps, to0 similar.

The Harry/Ginny one in DH is better than the one in HBP, but it's still kinda tacky, but the Ron/Hermione one is just horribly timed, I mean COULDN'T they wait till after everybody stops trying to kill them???
