Whenever you read one of the Harry Potter books, do you read it with the cover slip on or off??

I personally like to take it off while I'm reading .. just so nothing happens to it .. (i.e. - gets ripped).

I take the dust cover off because it's an absolute pain. However it does go back on when I put it away in the bookshelf.

I always take the covers off when im reading my Harry Potter books; When the covers are on the book they slide around and get in the way, and make the book slipery, and then I get pissed off.

I pretty much agree with everyone so far, but I do use them as bookmarks while I'm not reading. The books are way too slippery when they're on

I take it off while I read. The only exception was Deathly Hallows.

I thought it would be nice to read the last book with it on, just as my weird way of paying the series respect. (And the yellow and green just looked HORRIBLE with the red letters.)

I tried to leave it on too, just to be different for once, but I couldn't stand it lol. I think the yellow and green is nice...it matches my bookmark Very Happy

Both actually. Sometimes I take it off because its annoying and slips. But I don't want to get the book dirty either.
