Scorpious Malfoy woke up to the melodius voice of his mother, and the soft birdcalls coming from the backyard turned wildlife habitat. He stared at the high, comed ceiling of his bedroom. A bedroom that was once of his father's, Draco Malfoy. He struggled out of bed, a feat fueled by his excitment to go to Hogwarts. His trunk lay in a corner, neatly packed. The trio had been to Diagon Alley a week before. On the brand new trunk was the cage of Screecher, a speckled snowy owl.
Draco entered his beloved son's ample sized bedroom smiling and sat on a corner of his bed.
"Come Scorpius, get ready. Today's the day you enter a whole new world.
"Ok, fine Dad," Scorpius replied, casually brushing a wispy length of blonde hair out of his eyes.
Draco walked to the corner and picked out the trunk.
"Make sure to bring down Screecher when your done," we reminding his child walking out of the room.
Scorpius stood and walked to his bed, examining himself in the mirrior.
The young wizard looked just like Draco when he was a kid. Wispy, thin, long blonde hair. Eager, flashing eyes. Handsome chiselled feathures, and a thin but muscular build.
His personallity was another story. Draco's wife was the beautiful, child-like Narcissa Black. She claimed Sirius was her father's uncle's, sister's, daughter, if you cared to figure that out. On the outside, she was like Draco, tall, imposing, the figure that demanded respect. In the inside, she was happy, very very smart, and exciting. She found Draco the man she was looking for, handsome, tall, mysterious, and cunning. They courted for three years, facing challenges from Draco's side of the family. The obvious challenge, Narcissa was a half-blood.
Scorpius was eager, bright, and informed. And ready to go to Hogwarts!
The trio stood at the Hogwart's train station. They had arrived by Floo network, both Draco and Narcissa failed the muggle driving test. Narcissa flattened twenty-two cones. Draco attempted to hex the radio.
First Draco ran through the wall, Scorpius watched sink through. Then Narcissa and her son ran through, Scorpius flinched but felt no pain. Draco was wearing a black coat buttoned up to his neck, and matched black pants. His son was in a grey hooded sweatshirt and jeans, which have become much more popular with Wizarding youth. Narcissa Malfoy was in ornate pink robes with a matching hat.
Draco had already caught a look at the Weasley's and Potter's.
"Watch out for little Jamesy Potter," he said, bending low to Scorpius's ear and pointing at the tall, handsome boy with flashing green eyes, and short firey hair.
"He has the personalitiy of Harry's father, whom I heard was a slimy git. If you get the chance, hex him."
"Draco!," said Narcissa, glancing at him, "Don't get them againest each other! They could be friends."
The train have a final toot and Scorpius hugged his father and kissed his mother before grabbing his stuffed suitcase in one hand, and the perturbed Screecher in a gold crusted cage in the other before boarding the Hogwarts Express.
Draco saw that his wife was gently crying into a hankercheif.
"Do not worry Narcissa, Scorpius shall be okay. He inherited some strong willpower."
Scorpius entered the crowded train. Every compartment seemed to be full of people laughing, shouting, and saying their "Hellos".
He approached an compartment near the end of the train. He caught the eye of a very pretty girl with straight firey hair and round hazel eyes. They both blushed, and the girl motioned for him to join her.
She opened the door for him and a hushed silence fell throughout the compartment, as if a switch was flicked. A boy with orange hair streaked with black rose and pointed his wand threatningly.
"What were you thinking Lily," he growled at the girl, who gave the boy whom Scorpius assumed to be her brother a murderous look.
Another boy stood, he was short, and looked muscular. He had brown-orange hair and ressembled the girl who was Lily.
"Well, if it isn't a Malfoy," he said sneeringly. By that time almost everyone in the compartment had wands raised. The tension was elevated another notch.
Then, the room exploded in spells.
Levicorpus! Langlock!
then Lily and Scorpius cast
Protego! Protego! Pro- what?
The two hexes bounched off Lily and Scorpius's combined Shield Charms. One flew out an open window. One hit the shorter boy. The attempts to cast a shield charm by the rooms 6th occopant produces a single blade of grass from his wand. Before Scorpius could register what happened. Lily stood, slapped the tall boy across the face, and stormed off grabbing Scorpius by the wrist, who tried to give the room's surprised occupents what he thought was a sheepish look.
yeah its good and all. but you made narcissa the name of draco's wife? thats kinda bad right there, i wouldve made up another name. narcissa was draco's mom... _________________
yes it's good but i agree with copperdude14 his wife just can't be named Narcissia it's just creepy and sum people might get the wrong idea and think he married his mother........... _________________
^Thanx shewhoshouldnotbenamed^
yeah change the name for sure haha. but a couple of kids going into their first year wouldnt know all those spells haha. also if i read the epilogue correctly scorpius was the same age as harrys son albus both going into their first year and lily was 2 years younger so she shouldnt be on the train. but nevermind that haha.
im confused but all in all it makes no difference haha. its a nice peice of work. im working on my own post-epilogue fanfic do u have any thought on where draco might be working?
(I'm thinking Draco is working on protection from the Dark Arts, his wife is a host on a popular daytime wizard/witch cooking show. Dragon Stew Anyone?)
Rose led Scorpius to an empty compartment, still fuming from her brother and brother's friend's less than desirable encounter. But during the train ride, they both found they liked each other's company immensely. Rose had an admireable intelligence and love for magic that she and Scorpius shared. When there was a warning that they would be in Hogwarts in ten minutes Rose stood to leave.
"Well, bye Scorpius, it was really nice to meet you."
Before Scorpius could say his byes, she hugged him and was off.
Scorpius blushed, although no one was there and switched into his robes, thinking of her.
They made it to Hogwarts with no major problem, though the boat tipped rather high in the air frequently and slammed down with gut-wrenching results, Rose and Scorpius found themselves hold hands, but they each gave a nervous smile and continued hanging on to the rails.
Hogwarts came into the clearing through the mist, like a fairy-tale castle. The sight of it took his breath away, it was grand and magnificent, though historic and brimming with secrets. Some undiscovered secrets.
you know what would make a clever twist? if scorpius got sorted into gryffindor haha. just because the hat sensed that draco was not good spirited and his son inherited that trait. _________________
