I know! I have been waiting for that moment, I think it should have happened a long time ago, but I guess J.K wanted to keep us waiting and on edge about it.

I think the timing was so amazingly perfect
i honestly didnt really like the harry and ginny's first kiss in HBP...idk i wanted harry and ginny to be together but i guess i just never really cared that much, but if it had been ron and hermione who kissed then (like ron and hermiones heads on harry and ginny's) i think i wouldve like the kiss more

Spoiler:

but for everyone who says they thought ron and hermiones first kiss wasnt so romantic, i think it was perfect considering everyone's been waiting for a good 4-5 books. i think it was more the element of surprise. like if it was one of those romantic moments like some of the fanfic ive read, it just wouldnt fit right. the fact that she kind of sprung it on us when we were least expecting it even though we had been waiting so long was in my opinion just genious, instead of a romantic scene where it was so obviously obvious that they would kiss.

i also like how when we all kind of expected ron and hermione to kiss when ron came back, how instead she beats the poo out of him, was wonderful. it kept us on our toes

Spoiler:

Very good point. The fact that it came out of nowhere was what made it good. When Ron came back I thought they were going to kiss then... but when they didn't, it was even better because let's face it, he deserved to get the "poo" beat out of him.

I loved it too & I also loved Harry's reaction.. that was priceless.

Spoiler:

As for the part when Ron left, I was sure it as going to happen sooner or later. But I was surprised Hermione was crying, I would expect her to be more angry than sad.

I thought Hermione and Ron's kiss was perfect. Ever since the 4th book I've read like the 5th and 6th and go "will they kiss in this book??" and FINALLY in the 7th book it happens. It's so sweet... I mean it was always Ron and Hermione. Always. That's why it's so adorable.

Spoiler:

Page 625
"No," said Ron seriously, "I mean we should tell them to get out. We don't want any more Dobbies, do we? We can't order them to die for us --"

There was a clatter as the basilisk fangs cascaded out of Hermione's arms. Running at Ron, she flung them around his neck and kissed him full on the mouth. Ron threw away the fangs and broomstick he was holding and responded with such enthusiasm that he lifted Hermione off her feet.

How the hell did you miss that?!?!?!?!?

i love how JKR always passed up perfect opportunities for hermione and ron to kiss. she made it loads better by making them to kiss when no one expected them to. it was a nice surprise in the midst of all that was going on around them, in the middle of the war and all. Smile

Spoiler:

I loved the how that scene played out. In response to someone saying that it was a bit thrown in there, I can see what you mean. But I think Ron and Hermione had so much built up frustration that the smallest thing would have set them off. Ron standing up for house elf rights was the final straw. They had been looking for the right moment the entire book and as they were getting close to the final battle, it was then or never.

beautiful scene it was.

I too loved this about the book. It just added to the awesomeness for me. I like it when the most improbable things happen during those kinds of situations.

I still liked Harry and Ginny's kiss on his birthday better.

I'm amazed by some of the stuff people miss. I can only assume reading the book so fast isn't exactly preferable for a lot of people. That's why I took my time and soaked in all the words and didn't try to speed read.

Spoiler:

i agree. it took me 16 hours to read. i soaked in all the words as well.

Upload it to an upload site like photobucket.com or tinypic.com they give you the [img] codes but if you put the website to the pic just put

It sounds much more romantic, too. But judging from Ron's reaction when Hermione kisses him, I think it was their first time.

I agree with you.
It was a great kiss, I think made all the better by it being Hermione who kissed him.
