I agree... i personally like him more in the books, but i learned to really like this actor. when i first saw him im like no way sirius does NOT look like THAT... but then he started acting and it actually fits pretty well i like it him a lot

Gary Oldman did well in the role of Sirius.

I love Sirius period, but I will admit I always saw him as played by Viggo Mortensen too. There's something about that guy that makes me think he'd be perfect. So I do like Sirius more in the books, but he's still hot in the movies!

I liked him in the books and in the movies. I'm even watching POA right now on my portable DVD player. But I think Gary Oldman played the part quite well, and Sirius just kicks butt in both the movies and books.

I love Sirius, thats obvious from my username. He's my favourite fictional character. But I dont think Gary Oldman really played him right. I think Gary Oldman is a good actor but he just didn't play Sirius.

Sirius is better in the books, but he's still good in the movies (well in PoA he's played almost perfectly)

He's an awesome guy in the books, but in the movies he seems to lok like he'd fit better on the set of Pirates of the Carribean.

I have always liked Sirius, but in the book, i imagined him differently than i would have in the movie, so i was a bit dissapointed when i saw him in the movie.

Sirius is the best! And no one could have portaryed him better than Gary Oldman. He was simply the best! Very Happy

+ he has the coolest name of all the characters!

I don't think any of the actors in the film are what i'd want them to be. The books are just too good.
