I believe Hogwarts will reopen in book 7 and Harry will be convinced to go back. But that's not what I want to discuss. I want to discuss who will be the new Hogwarts employees. These are the possitions that people have said are unsettled:
*Potions Master
*Transfiguration Teacher
*Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher (AGAIN)
*Slytherin Head of House
*Gryffindor Head of House
*Deputy Headmaster/mistress
Note: JK said that she won't be introducing any new major characters, so these jobs are likely to be filled by existing characters.
My thoughts on the matter:
Potions Master
I think it's safe to say Slughorn is staying. He might as well be where a lot of wizzards and witches are to help cover him.
Transfiguration Teacher
McGonagall may not appoint a new Trans Teacher. She's acted as Headmistress and a teacher at the same time. But here are some likely canidates:
*Nymphadora Tonks--I think it makes sense because the Ministry is going to want Aurors watching Hogwarts more closely. One might as well be teaching there as well. It also sounds entertianing to me.
*Aberforth Dumbledor--A long shot, but never say never.
*Wilhelmina Grubbly-Plank--I'd just like her to show up one last time.
*Fluer Delacour--Not sure at all about this, but thought I'd bring it up because I like Fluer.
Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher
*Bill Weasley--Only person I could think of. He'll probably lose his job because of the warewolf attack. Being a cursebreaker, he might try to de-jinx the job.
Head of Slytherin House
Slughorn, most likely.
Head of Gryffindor House
Bill is the only person on my list that could take this job (not sure about Aberforth).
Deputy Headmaster/mistress
Slughorn or Flitwick, I think.
Anyone want to voice their oppinion?

| Harry won't be back in school and if he is the book will have to be a 1,000+ pages which would be cool and all. But I am already hoping for a 1,000 page finale. |

I agree with that. I think it is likely that Bill will become the DADA teacher.
Or maybe the Transfiguration teacher.
Maybe Tonks will teach DADA?

That'd be amazing.
Will Crabbe and Goyle stay at Hogwarts if Draco doesn't come back, though?

DADA teacher will be Harry, I mean why not.
Head of Slytherin house Slughohorn and Potions master
Deputy headmaster could be Hagrid

| I am confused as to how Harry would be the DADA teacher. Sure he could be the teacher during one particular class, but what about the other classes the normal DADA teacher would teach? First through sixth years? Harry would have other classes of his own, throughout the day. |
