Does anyone think Hermione should have been in Ravenclaw?

Maybe her more brave than smart.

I guess Hermione belongs to Gryffindor because whenever a situation arises she doesnt always do the sensible thing (like wat most ravenclaws would do) instead she will do the right thing (like wat most Gryffindors would do).

For example in book five, when Harry goes to the Ministry to save Sirius, Hermione figures that it might be a trap. So the sensible thing would be to inform the Order, but she follows Harry coz she doesnt want anything to happen to Harry and the others.

I guess Hermione has more Gryffindor-like qualities than Ravenclaw. She's smart all right, but all smart people don't go to Ravenclaw. Cedric was Head Boy and a Triwizard champion but he was in Hufflepuff. Like Rage said, Hermione isn't afraid to risks when the situation demands it. That proves she's bold.

I agree with Rage. She follows Harry in order to prevent him being alone in the MoM. She is certainly the brightest witch in her year but she is also one of the bravest witches in her year and like others already said; also Gryffindors can be smart.
After all Dumbledore is extremely intelligent.

I do sometimes think it, but would a Ravenclaw really have enough bravery to stand up to evil like Hermione? The Ravenclaws are like cats---not so brave, but very curious and intellectual.

^^^ That is what I was going to say!
Hermione is more intellectual, than brave; in that regard she is more of a follower, even if she is trying to help Harry.

hermione is 'smart' but her knowledge is from books... to be a ravenclaw i think you need to think outside the box, hermione struggles at that

I think she's gryffindor because, well she said it to Harry in SS/PS. she values friendship and bravery more than she values books and smarts.

She's smart and brave... she's also loyal and very hard working. She's also kinda cunning, like when she held Rita Skeeter in that jar and then devised a plan to get Harry's true story out.
But the hat saw something in her that made it lean towards Gryffindor.
