Im sorry if this topic has already been brought up..
But i think Dobey's death is saddest part in the book..
i really like him, and i dont know why they stop showing him on the movies, he played a lot of important parts.. Sigh Crying

i just felt like it was unncessary. like hedwig, yeah i got it. now harry can't communcate or be traced.

Thats a major thing in the Harry Potter world though aint it, the tragedy of unnecessary death.

I actually think it will work in the movies, because of his absense, people who never read the books will think if him as some 'Come and Go' character, then when he makes a heroic appearance at the manor, people will shout out in surprise and say "Alright, Dobby!" but then be dissapointed when he dies. It also works in the books because they adapt a special friendship (Harry and Dobby), it was pretty sad though
