| i loved the book because of the DA. i think it is fascinating that a group of mere students can reach something like that, especially when you look at the end ot the seventh book when the DA becomes important again. i also love that it is the longest book, that makes it last the longest. |

This book is definitely my favorite!! I love it because:
1) It is long and detailed
2) There is always something happening...whether it be bickering, dreams, battles, detentions, Quidditch...SOMETHING is always happening. well, something is always happening in every Potter book...but this one was so long that there didn't even feel like there were any filler parts. it all flowed rather smoothly.
3) I loved all of the new characters.
4) Sirius and Lupin are back!!
5) It feels just so much more real than the other books.
6) For me, this book begins the next story in the Potterverse. It's as though the first 3 books and 3/4 of GOF were introductions to the series, getting to know all of the characters, etc. Then the very end of GOF begins the real story...Voldemort's back, how does everyone deal with it? How will he be defeated? But that's just me. (= _________________

^ totally agree!
It's my favourite book by far because it has sort of everything. Action and a good dramatic ending- yes it was extremely sad but in a way it kinda had to happen. It's IMO the transition book for the series. You learn so much about the past which i think is always interesting with james and sirius, the DA, the prophecy, and the sheer amount of comedy throughout. Great Book _________________ "i wondered when i'd be seeing you Mr Potter"

It was really THICK!!! Haha. No. I did like it because it was thick though. I love big books.
I liked it because we see more of Voldemort. We get a peek into Snape's past, and how James treated him. We get this tension between Harry and Dumbledore. Who'd of ever thought that He would keep Harry out? I loved the whole part with Ron playing Quidditch, and how they actually stayed a long time at the Order. I loved meeting Kreacher. The hearing at the Ministry. Bellatrix! the battle at the Ministryyy! The whole book was really good!! |

Reasons this book is my favorite:
~We are introduced to so many awesome new characters from the Order of the Phoenix and Dumbledore's Army, including two of my favorites who get their own bulletpoint:
~Tonk and Luna! Luna is so honest and sincere and eccentric, I love everything she says! And Tonks is alwasy fun to read about.
~Umbridge. The person we all love to hate. Her character made me want to punch her in the face or at least give her to some blast-ended skrewts. She was fun to read about.
~Dumbledore's Army. The DA is basically my favorite subplot in any of the books. I think it's so great that the students can get together and make a difference. Plus they are just freaking awesome.
~The Battle at the Minstry is just super epic awesome. Dumbledore vs. Voldemort, what more can you ask for? They're the two greatest wizards of history! Plus some comic relief with Ron being attacked by brains.
~Sirius Black! I love that guy to death. (no pun intended) His relationship with Harry makes me squee. I love it.
~It's long but never seems drawn out. It's long because so much happens.
~We learn about Harry and Voldemort's pasts.
~I don't mind Harry's angst. I understand where he's coming from and yes, it is a little amusing. _________________ "If writers wrote as carelessly as some people talk, then adhasdh asdglaseuyt[bn[ pasdlgkhasdfasdf." ~Lemony Snicket |
