Does anyone else think that Dumbledore should have a will? Sirius had one, after all! Plus, Dumbledore has all this top-secret important stuff(such as his pensieve). What will happen to it now? He was so secretive in who he showed it to(Harry) and how/what order he revealed this information that I think he would have made plans for what would happen to all of it if he died(for all purposes he IS dead, because even IF he is alive, he is still pretending to be dead). If a will does crop up, what do you guys think might be in it and who do you think it'll all go to?

I've never thought of this. You make a very good point, I'll venture to bet he has a will though.

Well thinks like the sword, the pencive, and anything that will help harry in the slightest I think will go to Harry. They might be something that he has no harnis to use.

Well, if Sirius had a will, then Dumbledore definitely should. I think a lot of the stuff will go between Aberforth, McGonagall, and Harry, but not necessarily in that order. The question is more or less now, when will we see it, and who has it?

I really think he would. There are many theories pointing to Dumbledore planning his death, and if the true circumstances are anywhere near along those lines, he would have made a will if he didnt already have one. Plus, any magical item in the wrong hands is a very very bad thing. McGonagall, Aberforth, and Harry are probably the 3 people he trusted most, even if at varying levels, and i'd go as far as to say the penseive would automatically go to Harry.

Yeah, I agree that Dumbledore's pensieve would go to Harry...it just seems logical.

But I doubt that anything important would go to Aberforth....we never really hear about him in the stories except one small mention in The Order of the Pheonix. He isn't involved(is he even alive?) We didn't even see him at Dumbledore's funeral for cying out loud! I think his stuff will go to Harry, McGonagall, and some of the rest of the Order.

Ya especially the cool stuff that only muggles like our selfs would find amusing. I think that most of his stuff will go to Harry. I know he was close to Mcgongal, but I think he was more fond of Hagrid. Don't you think he should get some to??

Ok... so now there are 11 pro and 1 against (in the poll), but 91% + 8 % isn't 100%...

Anyways, I think that his stuff will go to: Aberforth, Harry, McGonagall and maybe Mr Weasley, Mrs Weasley and Lupin...

The Weasly's, Harry, McGonagall, Hagrid, and maybe some people from the Order. I think something we don't know aboiut in his will is gonna end up with Harry, and it's gonna play a major part in the seventh book.

It's possable, but in the end of the 6th book Fawks flys away. It is also possable that fawks is one of the keys to Harry beating LV. (no I do not mean fawks is a horcrux)

Good, I would not have bought fawks as a horcrux, but Fauks can always fly back, and he would be dead helpful in beating LV as you say I agree.

Fawkes stayed with Dumbledore because he chose to stay, he won't be inheritated by anyone.
If (IF) Fawkes would be a Horcrux, that would be good idea from Dumbledore because Phoenixes can become really old.

Tessa, are you saying that Fawkes is a horcrux for Dumbledore?

If so, who has Dumbledore ever killed?

I'm not saying that he is... I'm just considering a posibility.
Dumbledore has defeated Grindlewald... what else would you consider defeating?

(and to make it clear: I DON'T THINK THAT FAWKES IS A HORCRUX)

I thought they meant that he put him in Azkaban, I remember reading something about it in book 6, but, I don't remember very much from books 1-4.

It is only mentioned when Harry reads the chocolat frog card in book 1.
There was this one scentence that said something like: "Albus Dumbledore, famous for discovering the 12 uses of dragonblood along with his partner Nicolas Flamel and his defeat of the dark wizard Grindlewald in 1945"

I'm sure that Dumbledore has killed in his fight against dark wizards. Sometimes it's kill or be killed, self defence
