i am excited when i read that dumbledore is not dead.
Well this is not a verified facts but according to Dave Haber, there are clues on dumbledore may not be dead. What do you think? Any comments

Until recently I wasn't sure whether he was dead or alive, and certainly thought there were plausible theories that he was alive. However, according to a reliable source (Mugglenet.com) JKR has confirmed that Dumbledore is in fact dead.  Sad, but true. However, I don't believe she has said HOW he died, so there are still openings for theories that he died from the fall off the tower or from the potion, rather than directly from Snape's spell itself. |

Personnaly, I think that Dumbledore is dead. I CAN see how people would believe that he is alive, but I still don't agree. I think it is because I WANT him to stay dead! I would rather that he hadn't died, but now that he has, I wouldn't want him to come back. It would kind of ruin the feel of the story. It would turn it into another soap opera! And I HATE THOSE STUPID THINGS!!!!

Nah, Dumbledore's dead. It's through that that Harry's learnt so much and is so much stronger and determined now. His coming back would just totally spoil that, and I doubt JKR will go for it.

Unfortunately, he was hit square with AK, and has powerful as he is, he is dead for sure.
Sad, I know, I did cry, but life does go on.
Maybe he'll become a ghost.

Dead as a doornail, if you ask me. Though he did say something along the lines of, "I'll never have truly left Hogwarts until none here are loyal to me." I think that's sweet. He lives on in the hearts of the students. Kind of like from the Lion King: "He Lives in You."
Harry has to defeat Voldie by himself. I really don't think he can do that if Dumbledore's still alive. Dumbledore had to die to test Harry's personal strength without the backing of those he loves.
*walks away, dreamily humming "He Lives in You" under her breath*

i believe he is dead. during the whole "roof incedent" just the way snape looked at dumbeldore before he killed him made me belive he truly hated him. has for snape i dont think he was trying to protect harry at the end of the hbp more trying to save him for voldemort.

If Dumbledore used his phoenix to make a horcrux. Albus split his soul in 2 to fool Voldemort into thinking he is dead.
Part of Albus would be dead. But he can come back by reuniting with his phoenix/horcrux.

He won't come back. He is definitely dead and is not going to come back to life.

Dumbledore knew he had failed to kill Voldemort. He knows Harry does not have the skills to kill Voldemort. He had to split his soul. You don't kill as powerfull wizard like him without using dark magic.
Harry is dead unless he is helped by Snape or a reconstituted Albus.
Harry better have his wand with the phoenix tale in it like Voldemorts.
