If they had kissed before, they wouldn't have wasted time in the battlefield to kiss again. They also wouldn't have been 'kind-of-sort-of-together' like they were throughout the book. _________________
Then why would Ron act like it was the first time during the battle. I think she was out of breath because Ron was running to the door and she was trying to stop him from barging in on them..

Yeah, holding hands while they were sleeping, right next to each other. Hhmmm, I don’t believe for a second the kiss in Hogwarts was their first kiss. How old are they? Didn’t they basically live together for a big chunk of the book? JKR implied a lot between Ron & Hermione. Just because she didn’t write it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. I too got the idea when Ron & Hermione “interrupted” Harry & Ginny it sounded like they were looking for a place to hide.
I really think it was because Hermione was chasing after him to stop him from barging in. Ginny probably told Hermione her plan. And Ron probably realized that they were in her room too long or something.
In Hogwarts was when I think they first kissed, judging from Ron's reaction. I dunno. But that is definitely something I would LOVE to ask JKR.

I think it is obvious that it was their first kiss. Ron and Hermione solidifying their relationship was a HUGE moment in the series, and no where was it implied that they were kissing around hogwarts all those years. It was definitely a first, and a great moment =)

I believe that during the Final Battle, it was Ron and Hermione's first kiss because like stated before, Ron would've had more confidence in the situation between he, Harry, and Hermione. _________________ Yas and Simmy - Putting Luna on catwalks since 2008!
