How it was Luna that explained the thestrals

No career advice. (I wanted to see McGonagall go off on Umbridge)

Neville found the Room of Requirement

Fireinze never taught.

No Astrology test where they saw Hagrid being attacked.

Tonks had NO part

The whole DA got detention (What was that about?!)

it really bothers me how they add things that dont need to be in there but take out the really important stuff like firenze cause he saved harry and he comes again in the 6th book and he will probably be in the 7th book

How it was Luna that explained the thestrals
No.

No career advice. (I wanted to see McGonagall go off on Umbridge)
Yes.

Neville found the Room of Requirement
No.

Fireinze never taught.
Yes.

No Astrology test where they saw Hagrid being attacked.
Umbridge was evil enough, so meh.

Tonks had NO part
Would have liked to see a bigger role from her. I expect she'll be given a few more lines in the 6th movie though.

The whole DA got detention (What was that about?!)
Again, meh.

Regulus Black for starters.
Yes.

The movie did a good job getting the overal plot of the movie. If a few minor details were rearranged/changed here and there, I don't mind. It's a movie, not the book. I've come to expect it.

yeah...you think they would have mentioned Regulus, given all the RAB speculation.

How it was Luna that explained the thestrals
not really...I liked the "avoiding them because they are different" comment Smile however...I was disappointed in how Umbridge treated Hagrid. it wasn't nearly mean enough!

No career advice. (I wanted to see McGonagall go off on Umbridge)
oh wow that never occured to me, not that particular scene but there wasn't nearly enough rebellion against Umby

Neville found the Room of Requirement
No, without SPEW (which wasn't necessary to the plot) having Dobby find it would have been really random. Neville was the next best choice, a little bit of glory for him.

Firenze never taught.
Yes!

No Astrology test where they saw Hagrid being attacked.
not just Hagrid, McGonagall too!

Tonks had NO part
grrr yes! I bet they cut her from movie six completely Mad

The whole DA got detention (What was that about?!)
no...actually it makes sense that they would.

and I believe, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, but in OOTP Hermione & Ron are made prefects. This never happened in the movie.

Also, I believe the kiss between Harry & Cho was just striaght out akward looking.

I wish they hadn't of made Harry.Cho's kiss so damn long. Then maybe they could have made Snape's flashback longer and better. And where is Weasley's Our King? WHERE IS IT!?!

I totally missed Weasley Is Our King. And the whole Quidditch sub plot. The way Snape's memory was done bugs me too- where was Lily? And where was Harry's existential meltdown when he realizes that James was kind of a bully to Snape??

Frankly, i think everything was redone, just like with Movie 4
The new director really didn't make the movies well

I know that the movies can't be extremely long but for sure they can be longer than what it was. I really didn't like the lack of quidditch, and now after reading the last book the lack of Dobby
Spoiler:

whose death will not be as strong if he isnt recognized as one to save the group from trouble

other areas i didnt like were the twins escape and basically the entire ministry part, most notably the ingenuity of the fireworks and their resiliency, the absence of "mysteries" in the department besides prophecy, and the battle between voldemort and dumbledore which was show to seem like their wands had connected rather than shooting different spells at each other, i also was dissapointed when the statues were not sprung to life and used as protection

They used the spell Levicorpus in the RoR, and maybe once in the Dept. of Mysteries...isn't that a spell that first appeared in HBP?

yes, so I guess the scene in HBP where harry scares Ron awake by tossing him in the air by his ankle is going to be cut. *sigh* I love how by making OotP they are already starting to diminish my hopes for HBP.

I suppose the saying "the books are always better" stays true with HP.

They cuting off too many important things from the book and of course books are better than movies in Harry Potter way.

Of course boiling down Snape's memory from basically an entire chapter ( if I remember correctly) to a 20-second flashback it utterly stupid. Especially when they were making a big deal about who was who and whatnot. And Lily's not even there?? X(

Kiss was awkward. Their bodies are 3 feet apart and just their heads come in. Basically.

Quidditch was missed, but after I've seen it a few times, it didn't really have a place in it. Although they're going to be in a bit of a jam if they don't put in the final math the precedes the Harry/Ginny kiss. Let's see what they come up with otherwise that deserves such a huge party:

George: Hey, Fred!
Fred: Yeah, George?
George: Let's throw a party!
Fred: What's the occasion, dearest brother?
George: Because we're awesome, that's why!
Fred: Good enough for me!
Gryffindor: *throws a party for no reason.*
Harry: *snogs Ginny in a nearby corner*
Ginny: I'm glad Fred and George threw this party for no apparent reason!
Dean: *sulks in a corner.*

Yeah, that's what they would pull out of their arse, basically, or something just as ludicrous.

Thank you, WB, for being so stingy! Evil or Very Mad

I missed when Umbridge is going off on the twins and they shout "accio broomsticks" and do the whole leaving school bit. Making it during an exam wasn't nearly as good.

No...Not really. I was sort of glad that it was her...

It would have been nice to see McGonagall go off....

Neville found the Room of Requirement
I thought it was brilliant that he found it.

Fireinze never taught.
I wish they had shown that...It would have been interesting.

No Astrology test where they saw Hagrid being attacked.
Hmm I dont know if I would have liked seeing Hagrid get attacked D:

Tonks had NO part
NO TONKS MADE ME SOOOOOOOO MAD

The whole DA got detention (What was that about?!)
It happens when they all get caught D: ...

I am super pissed that firenze wasn't in it. He is in the rest of the books too, so why couldn't they have given him some time? Even just a simple 5 minutes would suffice. urrgghhhh

Too much Filch, not enough Tonks.

And poor Ron seems to always get the shaft. In the books, in the movies...this was his year to really shine and really suck at Quidditch, and they left it out.

Well for me as I a fan I am not a real fan of the films that was why it didn't seem that good to me but for my bro (who saw the movie with me) he said it was great and I said "ehh"
