Okay, in chapter nine of the book Harry went to Potions he caught a wiff of the Amortentia (a potion that smells like whatever attracts an indevidual).
Here's what Harry smelled:
Treacle tart
Woody smell of a broomstick handle
Something flowery he thought he might have smelled at the Burrow

So why's that important? Well at the end of the chapter this paragraph can be found (I'm using the USA version):

I tottally didn't notice that. It justs blows my mind on how JK is so creative like that. That is why she is my hero. I will have to go and look at that! That is so interesting.

I'm guessing that was a little hint that Harry was ment to be with Ginny. Sort of saying that he loved her and didn't even realize it. Rowling is my hero too.

Yeah, I noticed that in my second reading. Usually I read books really fast, because I want to know what happens next,so the second time I went a little slower.

I think it was obvious towards the end of OoP that Harry was starting to see Ginny a bit differently than in earlier books. That and with the begining of HBP he was definantly starting to notice her by the end of Summer, it was obvious what she was refrencing...

it didn't notice it the first time i read the book, but the second time when i read it more slowly to pick up more information i did.

I did get that one the 1st time! Since I read at work while waiting to unload, I got plenty of time to read it for all I can get out of it. Then I read it again and again and again..........

i figured the brookstick smell was from him likeing quiditch..i didnt see where anything else came from.

I noticed it the first time, but my husband had read it right before I did and he, without telling me exactly what he was cheering about, let me know to look for something special. So I don't know if that counts or not. Smile

ginny could be using a potion but i think hary does really like Ginny, potion or not.
