First of all dumbledore says some strange this at king's cross. I forgot the exact quotes but the sum up to: "Harry has the choice to go back to the living", "Voldemort will be more scared to return to King's Cross than you harry." Secondly i wonder who the baby is although no one has said it, I presumed it was voldemort, but i am at a total loss as to its significance.
In my mind picturing King's Cross is kind of a split between the scene in the matrix where Neo is at the train station in between the real world and the matrix, and The scene of pirates of the Caribbean where Jack Sparrow is left on the island after being eaten by the cracken.
But enough about that. I dunno if it has already been explained, if it has someone post the link to this thread plz, but what the hell was kings cross??? How does Harry leave Kings cross station if it wasnt in his mind... i Mean he didnt walk through a door of any kind or do anything that could lead to a physical endeavour to escape. He just sorta wished he was back with his body and he was back, almost like a pensieve, which leads me to believe that it wasn't really a magical place but something spiritual.
If it was truly something spiritual than King's cross either amounts to a dream or some sort of parallel to St. Peter's Pearly Gates (Purgatory).
Dream - In his thoughts Harry didn't learn anything that he didn't already know or wouldn't have logically deciphered. If there was no new info then Harry could have dreamt it.
Purgatory - Dumbledore says Harry could just come back to pass on if he didnt kill riddle after he had just been revived. Dumbledore explains that if Harry goes back then Harry could possibly kill voldemort with those chances being in his favor because harry + dumbledore realized the flaw- Draco was the master of the Elder Wand not Snape. But there is also the reference that voldemort could possibly come to King's Cross.
The baby was the part of Voldemort's soul that was in Harry's body. So, when Harry left Kings Cross, he left that part of Voldemort's soul there to die.
Which leads me to believe that Kings Cross was some form of purgatory (in the form of Kings Cross because I believe Kings Cross has a special significance to Harry as it is link to the magical world - which is why Dumbledore has no idea where they are). The thing I don't quite understand is how Dumbledore got to purgatory to talk to Harry, unless he had been waiting there for him the whole time? _________________ I am not worried Harry..
