Spoiler:

I would have to say Lupin's death. Because, although I had a feeling he was going to die, they drug him along the whole book, and at the end killed him off with no explanation. Which made it so much more painful for me. The mystery around it, and it was so unfinished, left out to make me wonder, and bother me. And they already took Sirius away from me. The added fact of Tonks death made it worse, because of Teddy, and was anyone else slow on getting the 'sleeping' metaphor JK Rowling threw in there, when they were really dead, or was that just me (I was really sunburned at the time...) And finally, when I read about Lupin's death, was it really so bad of my to say, "No, take Harry instead". Hmm...?

For me, Dobby's was the most heart wrenching. He was one of the most selfless characters in the entire series and would have done anything to save Harry Potter. I loved it when he declared his freedom to Bellatrix and his death was so heroic and tragic.

Snape's death was something of a shock to me. I guess him dying wasn't so much of a surprise, but the way that it happened and why. It is true what Dumbledore said, that Voldemort in the end acts alone, but I really thought he valued what he thought was his most loyal servant. Obviously, we now understand why Snape kept requesting to go capture Potter, so that he could unveil the truth. His final sacrifice was as he lay dying and the most important thing to him was to fulfill his promise to tell Harry that truth. He died heroically, as well.

yeah it was a hard pick for me... Snape did effect me a lot but at the time of the death i was effected more by dobby. At the time when snape died i didn't know he was good but after the whole pensieve memory thing i did feel sorry but Dobby was just heartbreaking for me.

I said Dobby although each death makes an impact because we grow so close to the characters through the years.

It was said somewhere else and I very much agree, the reason so many people were so affected by Dobby's death is because it was really the only death that was written about in any degree of detail, the only death that had more than one line of grief and mourning and the only death that had closure.

yes... that was one thing that i thought was bad about the book. Although there were so many deaths the only one that really had closure was Dobby. IN the other books Sirius... Cedric... and Dumbledore all had closure and therefore impacted us greatly but the deaths in this book weren't followed up upon. After the deaths in the battle of hogwarts there was no burial scene... no mourning of everyone. So we really didn't feel the losses as much.

I voted Snape...
That one made me cry the hardest because apaft from Draco Malfoy he was my favorite Slytherin Character. and to learn of all the things he did for Harry because he Loved Lily made me cry that much more.
But right behind Snapes death would be the death of Dobby He had no reason to die and I thought it was heart shattering too. then when Harry engraved the rock with 'Here lies dobby, a free elf" Icried harder.
So Snape and Dobby were my worst but I cried b far harder and longer when it came to Snape then anyone. and that includes the death of Siruis in HP&&OoTP.

Remus and Tonks was forshadowed the moment that he asked Harry to become godfather so i expected it none the less.

Spoiler:

I think Fred impacted the most, just because he was a twin with George and they seemed to be hand-in-hand with everything the were involved in. Hard to picture one without the other, and plus, Fred was my favorite of the two.

Lupin and Tonks were the second hardest because now A.) all the Marauders were dead, and B.) they had just got married and had a baby. So in a way, little Teddy is another Harry, in a non-prophetic way, so to speak.

And Dobby, even though my head was in such a tizzy because first they were hear and now there were there and then OMGWTFDOBBY'SDEAD?! And it was hard to stomach because he didn't even get killed by magic, poor thing. Crying

And then Hedwig, because was such an "WTF, mate" kinda death. I didn't see that one coming.

Spoiler:

The most that really struck me at the time was lupin and tonks, i just didn't think it was necessary to do yet another "both parents die" routine and was hoping it wouldn't happen but i guess someone had to die though, but its mostly because they were both my favourite characters.

Why save kingsley i would of killed him and percy off instead of them two or fred.

Also i always hated snape but knew he couldn't of been totally bad and when reading harry seeing his memories, i nearly choaked it was the saddest moment in the book for me.

I'ts a mix for me. I have to say Dobby was the worst. JHe didn't have to dye ^^;; But at the same time I didn't want Tonks to die. She kinda reminds me of myself a bit... Cause she's so punk-rockish and clumsy xD....

And I also didn't like that Fred died. I alsmost cried when those three died

Spoiler:

Well with a few of the deaths I took a step back and had to reread just to make sure I didn't read it wrong; Mainly Fred. But if any of them had a huge impact on me I would have to say Snape or mad-eye the most. Though I clicked Snape on the poll. Tonks and Lupins deaths effected me in another way. I said aloud "When the hell did Lupin die?" then again about tonks about a chapter later or when ever it mentioned it.

As for Snape I never gave up on him, I knew it would be known that he gave Potter the sword. In fact that was my first thought. I wouldn't say sad that he died just slightly disappointed.
