is there a diff in SS & PS? im gonna reread the series after i read DH but i want to know wats better between SS & PS if theres a diff.

will some1 plz move this to the book section? i accidently posted it in movie

I said PS because I hate how all the britishisms are edited. have they left them in later editions? If not they should.

like mum becomes mom and dustbins become trashcans and jumper becomes sweater. stuff like that. luckily they stopped doing that part way in...can't remember where.

LOL, I thought the only differance was instead of saying Sorceror (Spelling?) instead of Philosopher.Oh well learn summit new everyday. Were they changed in the american version of the film?

The philosopher's stone is a real legend. Supposedly there really was an alchemist named Nicholas Flemel.

They dumbed it down for us yankees. Figures.

The books have no real differences except for a few spelling, grammar, and slang changes. Besides that the story is still all the same.


You can check on the hp-lexicon, it has some of the changes in the books posted there.

I would say PS. Very Happy SS is american version If I'm informed right.

The movie is SS (because the movie is financed by an American Corperation) the original book was PS.

SS is better for the movie, for the books PS is better.

And I didnt even know what it meant, but I read it and found out. It explains it.
