Spoiler:

since harry sacrificed himself,
he got a choice wether he wanted to go with dumbledore or go back,
since dumbledore was dead,
and harry had the choice of going with the dead,
dumbledore was there, talking to him..
so, the scene went on at kings cross.
it's really not that hard to understand.

You explained nothing.

Any answers with some intelligence behind it?

I thought they did a good job explaining it. Harry was between life and death. He was taken to a place where he could go on or remain, A TRAIN STATION!

I also thought this was important because a train station was where he first started to belong.

It made sense to me. King's Cross...it's sort of a "cross" roads if you will...you have to make a choice, which way to go. Harry could either go with Dumbledore off with the dead...or he could go back and be among the living. He was at a crossroad and had to make a choice.

The explanation was ok. As Dumbledore said, it all happened in Harry's mind, like that train station in the second (or was it third?) Matrix.

Well, yeah, Harry was in some form of limbo. But I don't think that it was in Harry's head. Harry learned answers from Dumbledore that he had no way of knowing him self, things that he had no prior knowledge or in fact any hint of an idea about. Answers like that couldn't have materialised in Harry's head. Furthermore, when Harry went into Dumbledore's office at the end, the conversation he had with Dumbledore's portrait seemed to me that Dumbledore and Harry had in fact had a real conversation earlier.

"Of course its happening in your head Harry, but why on earth should that not mean its real?"- Dumbledore

perhaps its not really explainable, not the way you want. After all, its death, isn't it? No reason for it to be reasonable, is there? Plus,he is a wizard...
