I've been re-reading HBP and we all have his name wrong. It is not Remus Lupin. It is Remus Lupin Looking Thinner And More Ragged Than Ever. I swear, he is never mentioned without those words, I assume it is his name. (rolls eyes at JKR for good measure).
Bella, bella...that means lovely doesn't it? Of coure my cruciatius curses are not meant to do any real harm. *peers around for any sign of the dark lord* AVADA KE-

| Umm I just thought of something awful. While I am praying JKR has allowed Lupin to die and join his friends, I really believe she will have him live and marry Tonks. Then a grizzly thought arose: what if she leaves him maimed - blah, I'll write her a letter a day for 10 years explaining my complete unhappiness. You know, this poor dude has had the hardest life in her books. Relief by death or even a Tonks induced happiness will be better. She better have selected another to maim...she likes maiming so I am sure one or more persons will be. |

Remus is one of my favorite Hogwarts teachers.
His such a great character and I'm not to sure about he and Tonks, just yet. I didn't see it coming though.
Yes I think Madeye would proebebly lead the Order now. _________________

whooooooooooohoooooooooooooo! All the zillion posts I wrote begging JKR to allow Remus to die and join his friends the Marauders in the after-world where he could be young and happy and not shabby anymore and SHE DID IT!!!! Kisses, hugs and gratitude for hearing my redundant pleas!
Admittedly in the middle of the book, JKR totally pissed me off for dragging Lupin so far out of character there in his moment of angst. I mean, he has always been portrayed as responsible and mature. Suddenly he is about to follow Sirius' footsteps and play daredevil just to keep his kid and wife from being outcasts (when it wouldn't likely work anyway). I didn't buy it.
But she made up for it, snapping him back into character with his radio speech and his later thrill with having his child - a metamorphmagus - and asking Harry to be godfather. That is the Remus we knew and loved.
I guess it was to give the book added excitement at Lupin and Harry's anger directed at one another (very odd - but liked the knocking spell that sent big mouth Harry flying. And since Remus acted that way, Harry's speech was apparently the kick in the pants he needed).
But my heart swelled with happiness when she said that "remus and tonks were lying as if sleep under the enchanted ceiling". Man that was the most beautiful moment in the book. I was also so happy that she didn't detail Remus and Tonks death, I shouldn't have liked to sit through that...
And the reunion scene with Sirius, Lupin, Mum and Pops! that was sweet, we actually got to see Lupin and Sirius young, happy (not shabby) lol! beautiful man!
The death was valiant and written PERFECTLY, KUDOS JKR! |

I doubt Lupin would ahve accepted money... he was staying with Sirius, but to accept money... Harry knew thatthe Weasley's wouldn't take his money... I don't know, I just don't think Lupin would want to accept it and Sirius probably either knew that or tried to offer it. _________________
