I think I saw a bit of chemistry between Luna and Dean. At first he seemed bewildered by her, but by the end she was off inviting him over to her house.
What do you guys think? _________________ Blame it on a simple twist of fate ~ Bob Dylan Team Cucumber, FTW!
But sorry, NO WAY! Luna won't fall for him! _________________ "You can laugh, but people used to believe there were no such things as the Blibbering Humdinger or the Crumple-Horned Snorkack!" - Luna Lovegood
I noticed a luna/dean possibility, but I still like luna/neville better. and it was just a possibility, something could have developed from where they were, but as far as we know it didn't. oh well, if you like l/d better...imagine that, if you like n/l better...imagine that! _________________ They say home is where the heart is, so your real home's in your chest. --Captain Hammer
Yeah I definately thought maybe Luna/Dean, but I'm much more of a Luna/Neville shipper. Dean can have Lavender haha. _________________ I am not worried Harry.. I am with you.
Well when Dean and Luna ran off to the battle holding hands I was all but then i realised that while I was hoping luna/neville Dean and Luna had been hanging out alot since Bill and Fleurs house and I was it just felt right to me somehow. _________________

Its posible Ginny, but I think its Luna and Neville allthe way.
wish the Epp would have said what happend to Luna and Neville though. _________________ Harry and Ginny 4 ever!
In the epilogue it mentions that Neville is now the herbology teacher because Ginny tells one of her kids to give Neville their love and the kid says something like we cant give a professor our love. _________________
I would accept it, had I not been a Luna/Neville fan ever since the beginning... they're both so perfectly outcasted that they couldn't be with anyone but each other... even though there is a slight hint in Deathly Hallows that Luna fancies Harry, I still think that if the series continued, Luna and Neville would definitely hook up. _________________

I love you, Kevin. ♥
The Luna/Neville shippers are much less vehement and scary than the Harry/Hermione, Ron/Hermione tribes, so I hope I won’t receive too much hate mail for quashing this rumour. I see Neville and Luna as very different kinds of people and while they share a certain isolation within Hogwarts, I don’t think that’s enough to foster true love - friendship, perhaps, although I think that Neville would always find Luna’s wilder flights of fancy alarming.
I agree, I see them as friends only. I really think it's Dean and Luna... I think the "holding hands" thing was supposed to be our hint that they were a couple, but I guess not everyone got that. _________________ Blame it on a simple twist of fate ~ Bob Dylan Team Cucumber, FTW!
Before Deathly Hallows, I loved the idea of Luna/Neville. Absolutely loved it, but now, I can't stand it.
At the end of the book, Neville stood up to Voldemort, and completed his transformation into a true Hero. He is no longer an outcast at Hogwarts, quite contrarily, his entire 7th year he spent gathering followers and by the end of the battle at Hogwarts, there were people surrounding his table admiring him. Neville is no longer the outcast that Luna needs, and he can finally attract more than just another outcast.
I've come to love Neville at the end of Deathly Hallows, and I'm not saying Luna is unworthy, or that I love her any less, but she needs someone a little more insane than Neville. _________________
Yes, that's true. It seems as if most people who ship Neville and Luna do so because they're outcasts. but at the end of DH, Neville is crowded by admirers. He's not an outcast anymore. _________________ Blame it on a simple twist of fate ~ Bob Dylan Team Cucumber, FTW!
ok actually JK has partial recanted about luna/neville...let me find it...
Quote:
Question: During the course of the seven books you’ve written, have any of the characters developed in an unexpected way, that has surprised even you, the creator of them?
J.K.R: Ummmmm... sometimes characters misbehave a little bit and want to do their own thing, uh, but I think I know them very very well, so they’ve never really taken me by surprise. Except… (I can say this because it hasn’t happened), but there was speculation at one point on the internet that Neville and Luna would end up together. [Laughs]. And I said, “No, that won’t happen.” But you know what, while writing seven I started to feel a bit of a pull between Luna and Neville, in a way. I started to see how that could work, but it hasn’t happened… but, uh, that was an interesting thing. The moment I’d said, “of course they would never fancy each other!” I got - [unintelligible] “I don’t know, I could kind of see that!”
this is pretty recent, she said it when she was interviewed on Blue Peter _________________ They say home is where the heart is, so your real home's in your chest. --Captain Hammer
There was nothing in DH that would possibly put Neville and Luna together as anything more than friends. SO even if JKR had second thoughts, she certainly didn't let it leak out into her writing of the 7th book.

yeah...she said she could say it because it didn't happen (this was just before DH came out). But she left it open...so it could feasibly happen later!

Hmm, Luna and Dean could work! _________________ Harry witnessed Professor McGonagall walking right past Peeves, who was determinedly loosening a crystal chandelier, and could have sworn he heard her tell the poltergeist out of the corner of her mouth, "It unscrews the other way."
