I just guess I never really thought about him dieing. I wasn't expecting it. He was a sweet and selfless character who didn't deserve it. The way it was written was heartbreaking. It made the biggest impact on me. _________________

Dobby
Fred (saddest thing ever, I really liked him.
Snape
Lupin (for the fact that his child would be fatherless and motherless just like Harry and Harry would be left to care for him and becasue none of the Maurdurars remained.)

To me, the deaths of Lupin and Tonks are intertwined. I couldn't help but see the similarities between Teddy and Harry. Both of them had parents who died to save wizardkind. At least Teddy got to keep his godfather, and did have grandparents with whom I assume he grew up.
Dobby dying really knocked the wind out of me! I gasped (in total shock), my brother was there and wanted to know what was wrong but he was 2 chapters behind me so could say. His reaction (when he caught up was the same).
Fred hit me hard as well - But it was nice to see all of the Weasleys reunite before hand.
Remus and Tonks were totally out of the blue, because of spoiler I thought Lupin may die but I never ever expected both would - Poor Teddy!!! _________________ Bubbles

I expected Lupin to die, but the added death of tonks was heart wrenching. I have to say that Snape's death killed me after I found out what he had done for Harry.
Although Dobby's death was played out for us, Fred's death hit me the hardest because we didn't know exactly what happened. I could never image there being a George without FRed.
However, I think I cried for each of the deaths, including when I thought Hagrid ws dead.
Did anyone else get all upset over Lupin just because it was Lupin and not because of Teddy or the additional death of Tonks? This one got to me the most, just because I have loved Lupin with the fire of a thousand suns since the fourth book.
all the deaths were awful, but i felt tonks and lupin were totally wasted, we didnt see much of these two keys characters and then they just got dismissed, i mean come on, a bit more respect for the the newly wedded, with a baby weeks old, its guna make kids traumatised reading that, makes it like nothings sacred!
The way Dobby's death was written I really wanted to cry. Dobby was such a noble little guy. After Tonks and Lupin died, the first thing I thought was - Harry can't die because then Teddy would have no one! Fred dying was very, very sad. And Snape, although I love him, I accepted...
I was very shaken when Hedwig died because it hit me that... wow, no one is safe. Mad-Eye was written as a character who had been through so much and was so stable... I actually wasn't surpised. Dobby's death of course shaked me, I was very upset.
Fred though.... his poor twin. And just when he had made up with Percy. Fred was the most outspoken about his anger for Percy. And then Percy tells a joke... which lets Fred die laughing. Just as he would have wanted it.

As much as I thought that it was so cruel for Hedwig's death, as she had done nothing, I feel that Fred's hurt me the most. I knew Fred better, therefore I think it was harder for me to get over it.
