First of all, I'm new to this forum so excuse me if I repeat things that have been discussed...

okay, this just came to my head...can people who do not necessarily do magic make the Unbreakable Vow?? For example...could Lily have had Petunia make the vow with her?? It has been confirmed that a character will do magic for the first time late in life (JKR has said "There is a character who does manage, in desperate circumstances, to do magic quite late in life, but that is very rare..." ). The following has also been said:

We will find out something "incredibly important" about Lily Potter.

Something will be revealed about Petunia Dursley, although we already know that she is not a Squib

Hmm I don't know maybe she could take the unbreakable vow???

i thought the same thing.. i think her vow was to always allow harry to stay there .. and i think that was either with dumbledore or lily.. cuz remember when dumbledore sent her the howler? or idk if it was a howler, but i know he sent ehr a letter.. petunia is gonna be big in book i bet..

I dont think she is going to be huge ...but if should come out in the open (the howler).


I sure she could take the vow if her sister was witch

Petunia just doesn't seem like the lady to do a vow. Especially to a wizard.

I don't think it's anything to do with something as important as the vow.
I think it's the blood line. Harry was protected at the Dursley's because of Lilly dying for him.
That's my theory anyway.
