It was a fine September the first with all the golden leaves falling from the trees.James was going to Hogwarts and the five Potters approached the barrier that led to platform 93/4. Lily said, "Daddy, where is James going?" Harry replied, "He's going to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and wizardry the finest school possible."
James hesitated then spoke to his parents. "Will you write letters four times a week?" Harry said, "We will if you want us to." James asked, "What House should I be in, Dad?" It's usually up to your choice, I'd prefer Gryffindor but I wont blame you if you're in Slytherin", said Harry. Albus asked his mother, "I'll be going next year too, right?" "Yes, you will be going", said Ginny wearily.Albus had asked this 30 times already.
Ok, James dont worry so much", his mother said."you'll have loads of fun.Just remember try to avoid Peeves and dont duel yet. Hagrid will invite you to loads of tea parties.Harry kissed James forehead and hugged him and said, "Lily, Albus, dont you want to say good-bye to your brother?" They both said good-bye. Harry added, "Dont cause to much trouble, James, you dont want to end up in detention." James muttered something about being in Slytherin. Harry said," Dont worry James it will be ok if you get into Slytherin.It's not a problem."
James kissed his mother and father. People were still giving their children last minute reminders and kisses. James saw alot of people staring at Harry. He muttered, "Well, my dad's famous." Ginny also kept saying, "...dont get into to much trouble...make new friends...Hagrid will have loads of tea parties with you...dont duel with anyone yet...avoid Peeves...dont forget the password...we'll write to you four times a week..." Harry said, "Ginny he'll be alright." Then the train started gathering speed and Harry kept waving. Then the train was gone.
On the train, James met this girl called Daisy Patil and then another boy called Newt Longbottom. They both were beautiful and handsome. They said they wanted to be in Gryffindor. Daisy Patil asked James, "What house do you want to be in?" James twiddled his thumbs, hesitated, and turned pink in the face, then he replied, "I would like to be in Gryffindor too, 'where dwell the brave at heart', like my parents, but im not sure."
Newt asked James and Daisy, "Who are your parents, mine are Neville Longbottom and Luna Lovegood." Daisy said, "Mine are Seamus Finnigan and Parvati Patil." James hesitated again and said, "Mine are Harry James Potter and Ginny Weasley Potter." Daisy and Newt exclaimed, "HARRY POTTER, YOUR DAD IS HARRY POTTER?????" "Yes", said James proudly."The guy who defeated You-Know-Who!" "WOW!", said Newt and Daisy.
Just at that time there was a singsong voice.It said, "Anything from the trolley." James, Newt and Daisy got up, took out some money, and bought 9 chocolate frogs, 3 packs of Bertie Botts Every Flavor Bean, 3 pumpkin pasties, 3 cauldron cakes, and 3 Licorice Wands from the trolley.They sat down again and ate.
Just then a white haired guy came in. His name was Taboo Lestrange. He wanted to be in Slytherin. James said, "Who would want to be in Slytherin? I think you should join your fellow Death Eater first years. Taboo said, "How dare you?" He took out his wand.
Then suddenly the train's captain said, "We're almost there at Hogwarts, better change into your school robes." Taboo said, "I'll deal with you later!!" James said, "See ya, Boo-Boo!" He looked at Newt and Daisy, they both said, "That Taboo is just dumb, we'll fight him sometime!" Newt said that he loathed that Taboo.
Then the train captain suddenly shouted, "We're nearly at Hogwarts, better change into your school robes!"
Then the three people in the compartment fumbled in their rucksacks and got out school robes. They changed into them and got their trunks ready.
The sky was dark.It was nighttime. James was hungry again but the captain shouted again, "Welcome to Hogwarts! You wont need to get your big trunks or your owls yet! We'll bring 'em up for you!" Then a different voice said, "Firs' years over here!" James, Newt, and Daisy got out of the train and saw a very big giant man. James at first didnt recognize him, but then he realized it was Rubeus Hagrid, keeper of the keys and the Professor for Care of Magical creatures.
thats a pretty sweet story but im starting to get tired of all the fanfics in where first years are getting into fights on the train. i think theyd be too nervous to do that on their way to their first year at hogwarts

Ron said, as his ears turned pink. Hermione was blushing too, but it went unnoticed. "Alohomora. No, its not working!" Hermione said.
It should be:

Hagrid was still shouting, "Firs' years over here please! Come on don't be shy!"
James walked off the train and went to Hagrid.
Hagrid said, "Hello James! You are James Potter right?"
James replied in a small voice since he was amazed by Hagrid's size and length, "Yes."
Hagrid then said to all the first years, "Ok then. Firs' years come with me to the boats!"
Hagrid led them to the edge of the Black Lake. Then he got into the largest boat of all, while the others sat in groups in the boats. One of the person in each group held a torch.
Then Hagrid tapped all the boats with his pink umbrella. They started to move toward Hogwarts.
James said softly when he saw the castle, "Wow."
The other people were also saying "Wicked."
Then after about 5 minutes, they reached the other side of the lake.
James walked toward the castle. So did the others.
Then Hagrid opened the huge front doors.
He said, "Now, yeh firs' years should go straigh' through tha' door. and walk straigh' until yeh see some stairs. Then yeh climb those stairs and mee' Professor McGonagall."
James an the others walked and then climbed the staircase a bit nervously. He was still afraid he might be in Slytherin.
Then he went up another set of stairs and met Professor McGonagall.
She said, "Welcome to Hogwarts! Now, in a few moments you will pass through these doors and join your classmates, but before you may join them, you must be sorted into your Houses. They are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. "
James saw a boy smile coldly when McGonagall had said, "'Slytherin.'"
Professor McGonagall continued, "Now while you are here, your House will be like you family. Your triumphs will earn you points, any rule-breaking and you will lose points. The House with the most points at the end of the year is rewarded the House cup." _________________

Here's the next installment(Its not very long but I have alot of school stuff):
Professor McGonagall continued, "The sorting ceremony will begin momentarily."
Then she left.
James whipered to Daisy, "Which house d'you reckon we'll be in?"
Daisy said, "I think I'll be in Ravenclaw or Gryffindor."
Newt heard them and said, "I think I'll be in Gryffindor."
Suddenly, Taboo Lestrange spoke up.
"Ah, so here is ickle Potty, Long Bottom, and Patty."
He laughed loudly and James blushed.
"Shut your mouth!", said Newt.
"Oooo..." replied Taboo softly. "And how much pee do you have Potty? Long Bottom will need you for pee too."
Taboo roared with laughter.
Suddenly, McGonagall came and silenced him.
"Follow me.", she said.
She led them through the doors and into the Great Hall.
Then McGonagall said, "Wait along here please."
Then she got the Sorting Hat. _________________
Professor McGonagall said, pointing to the little staircase that led to the staff place, "Wait along here, please!"
The Sorting Hat started singing a song.
"--brave Gryffindors are all grouped up, for their daring and their nerve and their courage show off. Then loyal Hufflepuffs... The smart Ravenclaws... the cunning Slytherins
Then he ended the song with the Slytherins
Then she called, "Newt Longbottom!"
Newt gulped.
James patted his back and whispered, "It'll be fine. You'll be in Gryffindor."
Newt walked up to the rickety stool. McGonagall put the sorting hat on him.
The Sorting Hat said, "This one is pretty easy to sort. Ah, he has plenty of courage. So he must be.... GRYFFINDOR!"
Newt gave a sigh of relief as the Gryffindors cheered.
Then McGonagall called more names.
Then she said, "Rose Weasley!"
Rose went up to the stool nervously.
McGonagall put the Sorting Hat on her.
The Hat said, "Ah, she's pretty smart but she has courage too... Where should I put you... Better be... GRYFFINDOR!
The Gryfindors cheered again.
McGonagall called, "James Potter".
James sort of tumbled nervously to the stool.
He kept saying to himself, "I'll be in Gryffindor."
The Hat said, "Ah this one is easy too,... GRYFFINDOR!"
The Gryffindors cheered more than ever.
James walked to the Gryffindor table. _________________
