well it was worth a try. Those visions had already proven dangerous in the past. It was through those visions that Voldy planted himself killing Sirius into Harry's head. He could have planted other fake visions as well. It was extremely dangerous to follow what the visions told Harry. The only problem was that Harry had nothing else to go on. _________________

well in ootp, not learning occlumency proved detrimental to harry... but in DH its not harry but voldemort... even if voldie couldnt control himself, but if harry continually employed occlumency against him, then he would not have known about the Elder Wand, or the location of the ravenclaw horcrux. _________________
