Grrrrrrr the crying in book 6 annoys me and book 7 will likely contain more tears. Here are some (help fill in) of the many examples of people crying in book 6.
1. Narcissa is in hysterics about Draco while talking to Severus (dunno if crying, but hysterics at the least)
2. Hermione sheds a tear when Won Won drags Lavender in a classroom already occupied by Harry and Hermione.
3. Draco bawls because with Moaning Myrtle
4. Tonks I am pretty sure cries at some point about Remus (could be wrong here)
5. Hagrid cries like a baby when Aragog dies.
6. Slughorn wiped a tear when in Hagrid's cabin and Harry was trying to get the horcrux and speaking of his mother.
7. When Bill got bit Mrs. Weasley I believe shed some tears
8. Mrs. Weasley and Fleur cried in eachothers arms after Fleur said she was still gonna marry him
9. Many a tear was shed when DD died _________________ "Greatness inspires envy, envy engenders spite, spite spawns lies"

DD was dead...people are bound to cry. They are in a war. People are bound to cry. YOur pet (aragog) dies, of course you're going to cry. If people didn't cry in these instances it would seem JK was creating unbelievably stoic or unfeeling characters. _________________

I agree with Arabella, if there is was no crying in HBP the book would really feel meaningless. It would have to much of a happy feeling to it to be the book that basically starts a war. _________________

I think it's nice. It shows that the characters have lots of emotions, even characters that you don't expect, like Narcissa Malfoy. _________________

I dont know about you, but unless you have emotions of a toothpick, all the crying is justified.
1. Narcissa is in hysterics about Draco while talking to Severus (dunno if crying, but hysterics at the least) Her son has been given a task that could lead to his death, what kind of mother wouldnt cry?
2. Hermione sheds a tear when Won Won drags Lavender in a classroom already occupied by Harry and Hermione. Clearly shes in love with him and girls can get pretty teary when they are jealous
3. Draco bawls because with Moaning Myrtle. Again hes facing a task which could mean life or death
4. Tonks I am pretty sure cries at some point about Remus (could be wrong here) Im sure she was scared that something happened to him, who wouldnt cry if they knew someone they love is in grave danger?
5. Hagrid cries like a baby when Aragog dies. He was drunk and just lost a "friend"
6. Slughorn wiped a tear when in Hagrid's cabin and Harry was trying to get the horcrux and speaking of his mother. Again drunk and they were talking about his former student which he admired a lot
7. When Bill got bit Mrs. Weasley I believe shed some tears. Her son could have almost cried, shes bound to cry
8. Mrs. Weasley and Fleur cried in eachothers arms after Fleur said she was still gonna marry him women
9. Many a tear was shed when DD died Doesnt even need an explanation. I've read that people actually cried while reading the book
If they didnt cry the book would have lost a lot of its realisim in my opinion |

well it was an emotional book. if they wudnt cry in those instances they wud seem non-human (if thts a word lols) i mean i was really upset wen dumbledore cried.... normally i read HP 4-5 times... thts my average for the other books. but i cud read HBP more than 2 times. the end was so sad. i wish she ddint hav to kill dumbledore |

| The book is quite sad towards the end, but not to the point of crying over it. All the other points were well justified, which Deatheater pointed out quite nicely. |

Everyone hates to cry, but its something most people have to do when they feel sad. Its like having a stomach ache and the going to the toilet to have dump its not something you would enjoy, but its compulsury unless you want to end up shitting yourself. |

Well with the content of the book being more 'darker' then there's bound to be more crying.
Dumbledore's death was of course bound to induce immense amount of crying as everyone there thought highly of him. He was their 'protector' and the most feard by Voldermort.
I certainly would cry if I thought that there was no hope yet.
I agree that Hagrid seems to be doing a lot more than his fair share of crying though. Haha, for a big half-giant he sure does act like a big ol softie =p. _________________
